Finally! A Tarnish Remover That Works!
I have used so many different cleaners over the last six months. I bought an industrial size ultrasonic cleaner. Nothing worked completely. I kept saying to myself, does silver ALWAYS leave a black mark on a clean cloth? Not anymore! This Silver Mate is my new favorite! Not only did it return my silver necklace to that bright "new" look again, but it also finally wiped "clean". Meaning, I stopped seeing a black line on my soft cloth. I'm so impressed!

Worked well
Worked well not too smelly. Made the chore of silver cleaning less abhorrent.

Best and easiests silverplate tarnish remover I've ever used
Every year before Christmas I painstakingly clean my silverplate flatware and I've tried everything. This year I decided I was tired of scrubbing so I bought this product. My silverware is BEAUTIFULLY cleaned, with zero yellow tint.My flatware was not highly tarnished. All items had a yellowish tint before I cleaned them. I'm not exactly sure what I did right, but I did the following:- I poured the SilverMate into a square glass baking dish in my sink- I also used a plastic shoebox, cleaned and filled with warm, clean water- for all spoons and forks, I did them in batches of 6, put them in the baking dish and swooshed them around for about 30 seconds (honestly, probably less). Serving pieces I did one at a time.- dipped the cleaned flatware into the water and then placed on a towel(My knives only have silverplate on the handles. For these I used a drinking glass filled with SilverMate and swooshed the silverplate part of each knife, one at a time)Honestly, at this point, they all looked the same to me. I could still see a bit of a yellowish tint. And when I dipped each piece into the SilverMate, I did not see any dramatic before-and-after line of demarcation. But I still kept at it.- I then cleaned the shoebox and filled with new, clean warm water with a few squirts of dishwashing liquid- I put all of the flatware into the sudsy water in the shoebox- I then rinsed each piece under water and placed on a towel- I towel dried each pieceTHEN... they were perfectly silver. I'm very happy with this product and would buy again if I ever run out of it because apparently it lasts forever. I poured the remainder back into the jug.

Not what I expected
I was under the impression that this product would quickly clean sterling, silver plate and gold. It states 30 seconds. I followed the instructions and it left a film on my sterling flatware and sterling bracelets and a Towle heirloom silver plate tray. Makes me wonder if layers of silver were stripped of their finish hence the filmy appearance. Live and learn but definitely not worth the money.

Not instant, had to scrub & still had poor results and cloudy finish with heavyily tarnished silver
This was not instant and for heavily tarnished silver I had to keep it in there a long time. Swishing did not help remove the tarnish, I still had to scrub it off which defeats the purpose and killed my back since I had to do this outside on the ground because of the smell. Some pieces never got clean and many had a cloudy dull appearance afterward - it didn't go away with rubbing after like I thought it would. Very disappointed. Will return.

Not worth it๐
After years of polishing silver I thought I would spend the money on a product that could help quicken the process. I was so disappointed and will be going back to the old method. I dipped and re-dipped and gave up. The purchase of 2 large containers-total waste.

Works:)
This was an easy product to use. Good for maintaining silver and cleaning tarnish. You will still need to use a soft cloth to rub off tarnish but it is very easy to use.
