It is indeed a Crazy World!
I want to start off by saying that this is my favorite Scorpions album, so this review may be a little biased. "Crazy World" was released in 1990, and followed many great Scorps' classics, such as "Lovedrive," "Virgin Killer," "Blackout," and "Love at First Sting." It also followed what many fans consider their 'sell-out' album, "Savage Amusement," and a greatest hits package, "Rockers & Ballads (Best of)." This album marked a return to what we expect when we purchase a Scorpions disc...heavy riffs, sexual innuendo-ed lyrics, and of course excessive rock / metal cheese. Klaus Meine and Rudolf Schenker are akin to Angus and Malcolm Young of AC/DC in terms of finding a successful formula and making it work repeatedly. I give it four stars out of five when compared to other hard rock discs of the era. It has it all in terms of what the boys are capable of. There are slow burning rockers like "Money and Fame," power ballads "Wind of Change" and "Send Me an Angel," and then the blitzkrieg wailers like "Tease Me, Please Me" and "Kicks After Six." I like this disc a lot, and highly recommend it to both novice Scorpions fans and the hard-core ones that are on their second or third copy of "Blackout." Enjoy!

A Gem Of An Album At The End Of An Era, Holds Up Well Today
This is one of the great albums that came out around 1990. Metal started to decline in popularity and flare, as well, but this album delivers as well as any, along with Maiden's 1990 release, 'No Prayer For The Dying'. There's 2 ballads on Crazy World, which, unless you were in hibernation for the decade of the 1990's and beyond, are essential vinyl masterpieces. The other 9 songs on this release flat out rock! This is one of the greats and has rebounded nicely, since Metal's big comeback over the last 15 years or so!

Scorpions knock it out of the park with this one
"Tease Me, Please Me" gets things going, I imagine getting into a McLaren P1 and hitting the pedal would be a good analogy. The energy never wavers; they run the gamut from the title song to the beautifully rendered "Winds Of Change", which showcase their versatility.I know this is to be a review of the cd, but I want to say something about Scorpions live and how it relates to their recordings. They are my favorite group for a variety of reasons: Powerful, melodious, energetic, and dynamic. The interplay between lead singer Klaus Meine and guitarists Rudolf Schenker and Matthias Jabs is wonderful. Running around the stage like a bunch of twentysomethings is greatly entertaining. The dynamism and energy of a live Scorpions performance is faithfully rendered in "Crazy World". Crank your home system up, sit in the sweet spot and enjoy! Well worth the ride!

Great CD! But the DVD is missing live tracks??!!
I had this CD when it originally came out and loved it. There are some of their best quality tracks on here - including the powerful "Hit Between The Eyes". So, no question I jumped on this Deluxe Edition CD/DVD when it showed up - and the improved sound quality is awesome! My only problem with this release is on the DVD....It shows 12 tracks, but it just ends abruptly after "Lust Or Love" (track 10)! I went back and replayed it to be sure, and this release is clearly missing "Big City Nights" and "Rock Me Like a Hurricane" at the end - ??? How does this happen on a Deluxe Edition?Either way, get this for the improved sound and if you don't mind the missing DVD tracks. If any knows of any way to remedy this for those who have already bought it, let us know.

Still rocks hard!
Still have this and a lot more of Scorpions' releases on cassettes, cds, records. Wanted to get this on cd and found this out of print here on Amazon at a good price and was glad of the service and condition. Fan of having the physical copies of the actual product even if I have certain songs of their hits on other releases.

Another great album
1st of all I think crazy world is a really good album. The scorpions really haven't put out any bad albums. well, maybe one. I enjoy the albums whether its with Schenker, Roth, or Jabs. The songs on Crazy World are in the same vein as Savage amusement. That's where hard rock was at the time. The Scorpions have always had a mix of hard rockers, ballads and mid-tempo songs and Crazy World is no exception. Its not my fav album by them (that would be Animal Magnetism) but is a good time hard rockin' cd.

I like or love every song on this album, that is unusual for me
I bought this originally when it first came out on Cassette tape in 1990. Every song is hardcore Scorpions or soulfoul ballad. The perfect Album
