Amazing keyboard at an unbelievable price!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Great product! After a few months it still has the same great mechanical sound I've come to know and love. Many lighting options to choose from, from pulsing to key following, and very customizable.WARNING you cannot change the color of the keys, they are pre set and won't change unless you want to open up the keyboard. This is customizable in many ways, just not the colors.Incredibly quick response, I never knew how "soggy" the membrane keyboards felt until I started using this delightful piece of equipment.Great price for the quality, I haven't needed or wanted to replace any keys on this, and all of the characters are visible as the day I bought it.The instructions were initially hard to follow, but holding the function key and pressing the "Ins" key changes the rate and style of lighting.Holding the function key and pressing any of the "L" keys (under the top number keys) will change which keys are currently lit up.Even in daylight you can tell which buttons are lit up, and at night, they shine like a flashlight (comes with adjustable brightness if that's a bit much for you!).9/10 Can't change individual key colors, but would 100% buy again!

Pleased with my first mechanical keyboard
Overall I give this keyboard a thumbs up, especially if you can catch it on sale. The feel is pretty nice, this is my first mechanical keyboard and it requires a little more deliberate input but only because the keys are a lot higher with longer strokes than what I'm used to. The key feedback feels nice though. It's a pretty linear stroke with a very slight resistance at the click and input happens exactly at that click. Noise is of course audible but not very loud and sounds more like a keyboard that also clicks instead of a machine that registers input because you clicked something, if that makes sense. But again compared to a membrane keyboard it does actually feel very mechanical.I thought I saw a picture of this keyboard with all white lights, so I was under the impression the RGB LED's were color changing but that is not the case. There are lighting effects but in regard to actual color the rainbow color scheme is all you get.Minor Annoyances:The base is really heavy which it doesn't need to be and only is to give an impression of substance and is therefore a bit of a gimmick. The keyboard has 4 rubber feet but only the forward two make contact with your desk unless you extend the kickstand feet at the back, which would usually bother me but this keyboard actually feels better to me with them extended so whatever. The caps lock, num lock "on" lights are SUPER BRIGHT and illuminate my bedroom ceiling very well unless I remember to turn them off before going to bed (a dab of black sharpie may help). The USB plug required an unusual amount of force to insert into my PC, which made me suspect I had received a defective unit until I tried a second port with much more force.I suspect AUKEY and ANKER are somehow related??!?

It seems like they do stand behind their products and customer satisfaction ...
11/02/2017 UPDATE:Aukey was really quick to respond to my review and send me another unit at no charge. It seems like they do stand behind their products and customer satisfaction is important to them.I do not care for this product at all. The first one I ordered had an uneven plank. Needless to say, it rattled on my desk while typing. Therefore, I returned it and decided to give it another try. When I got the 2nd unit, keys were working fine except left shift. Over time left shift started working okay and not completely sticking. Now I realized "del" is completely getting stuck and I have to manually release the key from stuck position. You get what you pay for. Cheap product for a cheap price. I would not recommend it since there are better alternatives for a few dollars more. Keys getting stuck in a mechanical keyboard is unacceptable. Poor quality.

Great Keyboard
I originally bought another AUKEY keyboard off of a Lightening Deal and that KM-G9 keyboard was my first return back to the world of mechanical boards. I loved it so much, that I bought this keyboard to use on a different machine. I guess you never forget your first love; this board is great, but I have to say that I like the other one better. Perhaps it is one of those one-off production things, but the differences are noticeable. This one has the same great, crisp feel, the same loud, clacky keys ... mostly. Some of the wider keys such as Return, Space and Backspace are a teeny bit mushy compared to the rest - something that isn't the case with the KM-G9. Regardless, for the price, I'm very happy with this KM-G6 for my gaming PC so far. I'd prefer that the colors on the back-lighting were customizable, but for $40, I like it much better than the Razer board I'm replacing it with.

Round II ended up being pleasant
I ended up purchasing this item, but returning it shortly after I got it, because Aukey's website was broken, and I could not even download the software associated with this product. But, after the company saw my review, they personally reached out to me and made the situation right, so I am returning to update my review to reflect that, and I now have the product again, in working order, with the proper software.

Cheap but works well. Good for anyone looking for a mechanical keyboard
For the price of a cheap keyboard, it works well enough. I have one from Razor with blue switches which I like the sound of the clicking now, so the red switches being silent and lighter feels a bit weird. Over all, not too bright for when I used it in the dark but that could be because I wasn't too worried while looking at the screen. Since they are red, they help with night vision more than the brighter lit LED lights. I'll be using this for my other computer whenever I use it but definitely will come in hand as a backup for now. Long term, we'll have to see how I feel about the switches being silent.Just a note, the first one I got was not usable out of the box as out of the many keys, only one key did not function correctly. Amazon did a great job with quick replacement and return. Happened in less than 3 days. I don't remember if it was in 2 days or not but it was quick enough after contacting Amazon customer service.

Excellent keyboard and better customer service!
***UPDATE***After posting my initial review, customer service got in touch with me and sent me another keyboard, a full refund, and allowed me keep the old one. Absolutely amazing customer service and you can't go wrong with buying Aukey products. They stand by their product and will do everything to make your issue right. Highly recommend! The keyboard itself is great and for the first few days of use I had no issues or concerns. However, after a while I noticed that some keys would not press properly. In particular, I found that the "tab" key was not as tactile and responsive as the others. I would often find myself pressing harder and it can be a bit annoying. Not sure if it's just my keyboard and it is simply a quality control issue or if that issue is within the design itself. I can't be bothered to ship it back for an exchange so I'll just put up with it. Other than that, it's a solid keyboard for the price and I find myself using it more than my Corsair K68 mechanical keyboard.

Truly an amazign "clicky" keyboard! With very minor issues!
So I admit this is quite an amazing keyboard! However, there are some minor issues. The biggest for me is the keys having so much empty space below the keys, This is purely due to the fact that things get caught under it, but its mostly just my OCD! One other very minor issue is the lack of arm rest! This is easily fixed tho, so I wont hold that against it in my review! The keys are actually better than Cherry MX Blues, in my opinion, I have used so many different types of leys and these are by far my favorite "clicky" keys I have ever used! I love that they are made in a way that the key does not lean at all the way Cherry MX keys do! So I have to recommend these keys made my Aukey! For the price, I think this is the best I have seen so far! If I ever find better I will edit my review, but as it is now, this keyboard is the best for the price range!

Works - loud as expected
I'm not a fan of the fixed color 'rainbow' LED scheme on it, but it functions and when you need backlit keys, you can see them.My key criteria for selecting a mechanical keyboard were:No recessed keys - I wanted this to be easy to cleanInexpensiveBacklitThat's it - I got the keyboard on a deal for $40 CAD making it a no-brainer.I've installed o-rings to see if that made any difference to the tinny sound of the switches, but don't bother. They don't seem to make any difference with these Outemu switches. For $40 it's a great keyboard. If I wanted to spend $100 I'd look elsewhere. I sold a Das Keyboard with Cherry MX Brown switches and moved to this one. The Brown felt a bit mushy and the recessed design of the Das is a dust trap.

Cant reassign Fn keys!
Sturdy low cost mechanical keyboard, but there is one glaring issue that Aukey needs to fix:The Fn keys cannot be reassigned. For example, if you want to open a media player, its Windows Media Player (not sure who actually uses this app anymore?). You cannot reassign 'Fn+F1' to open Spotify or any other media application. As a programmer, I have a go-to calculator that I use. Unfortunately when I press 'Fn+F11', it opens Windows Calculator application and this cannot be changed! Not only is this very frustrating but it negates a good portion of use-ability of this keyboard.Although Aukey support was responsive, they seem uninterested in fixing the issue and the workaround they suggested (using the Aukey G-aim software) would mean that you can't use the Function keys at all...

5 Stars with a *Note
Great keyboard. Hideous font. My enter key was kind of not smooth so I had to file a small piece off of it (moulding issue) . Enter key seemed a bit spongy but snapped back within a few keystrokes.Solid built - Otemu key switches, which seem every bit as good as my Cherry Mx Blues. small, low profile with some funky lighting options. I'd buy it again. I really like the blue switches as compared to all the others.Worth the purchase.
