Manufacturer needs a better 3-D printer.
This product looks like a prototype. It is manufactured by 3D printing and there are inconsistent lines all over it. There are burrs on all of the steps that are used to set hight and doesn't inspire confidence in its accuracy or consistency. It doesn't slide as well as the stock metric Festool gauge that it is replacing. The first step on mine is warped. It is made out of ABS plastic that isn't very durable and the ribs that make contact with the indexing ballbearing show wear after sliding this back and forth a few times. It is exactly .005" out of tolerance (so I guess that is accurate with the items description.) The other problem I had with it is that I think the numbers should be more legible.I originally rated this as 2 stars because I had high expectations and was let down. It isn't a bad product but I would rather pay twice as much for a Seneca Woodworking version of this. The Seneca version looks like a finished product that could pass as an OEM part and is made out of durable delrin material that is precision machined by a CNC.This item item has the advantage that it has a setting for 1 1/2" material instead of just 1 1/8". I applaud this company for making this product available to the market. 3D printing is a time consuming process. I think we are still years away from 3d printers producing products that have a fit and finish on par with plastic parts produced by CNC machining or injection moulding.Bottom line: I don't think this attachment matches the quality of a tool that is selling for over $900. I returned it because first step was slightly warped and didn't have to pay for return shipping. I might have kept it if I had to pay for return shipping but I wasn't happy with the fit and finish and knew that I would probably replace it down the line anyway just because of it's appearance and tactile feel.

Buy the other one!
Was very rough adjusting heights. Seems like a cheap print.

A no brainer!
This is a useful gadget that eliminates the trial and error process of using the metric Domino. I've used my Domino for years with the metric step gauge on imperial dimension wood projects. It just required a little thought and preparation. This device makes it a one step process. It fits the tool perfectly and comes with a Torx bit for installation in case you don't have one. The OEM gauge shows the applicable dimension in a little window on top of the mounting bracket. This gauge has the dimension on the side that are sometimes blocked from view by the bracket. A very minor niggle but hold it back from a perfect score.
