Even though this album has been around a while, our children are older, but these songs are still fun to listen to. Makes for a great gift.

I was looking for a fun way to teach my 4 year old new Bible verses. I saw this recommended on another site and we have not been disappointed. At the beginning of each track the complete verse is said (sometimes by Steve or a child) with the scriptural address followed by a short song which includes lots of fun repetition. The songs are catchy and they vary in style; some have the feel of a Broadway musical while others are bouncy little ditties, and a few feel like "sleeping music" as my daughter said. And Steve Green has an outstanding singing voice, unlike some other kids music we've listened to. And because this is a 2-CD set, we are able to leave one in the car and the other in the house so we can listen no matter where we are (and I don't have to search or make an extra trip to find the CD). My ultimate goal is to have my children (the one-year-old is listening too) know these verses so they can recall them at the appropriate time. I've been told to sing the song "When I Am Afraid" at bedtime so my daughter remembers not to be scared of the dark. :) Also, most of the verses are longer than I would have imagined they would choose (like Proverbs 3:5-6 and Matthew 9-13) but it's a lot easier to memorize that many words in a song than on their own. Overall we are all very happy! Buy this!

This album is a treasure, because it contains the Treasure of God's Word. Not only that, but it's sung and ordered with children in mind. Children of all ages and the adults who care for them can't help but keep these lyrics and Truths in their heart after listening to these songs. This is an album where none of our children have a favorite, because it is a Favored cd all the way through. Period. They are engaged in every song and their hearts are able to relate to what's being said/taught. And just wait till they're singing the songs themselves, even when it's not playing. Within the last 10 years, I've purchased these albums separately for myself and others as gifts several times, and everyone loves them. I'm glad to find the double album to continue to pass it on. This is a CD that can help in your child's (and family's) growthand edification for years to come. See for yourself.

We've been VERY happy with this purchase. I asked several friends to recommend a favorite Bible Memory CD, and this was overwhelmingly the most-recommended - so, we bought it.It's enjoyable to listen to for the whole family.My daughter loves listening to it, and we love hearing her sing actual Bible quotes around the house & in the car.And, these songs motivate her to DO the right thing!One day recently she was obedient when I knew it was hard for her. She didn't even complain. I commended her for being so cooperative & obedient, and she said, "The Bible says, 'Do everything without arguing or complaining.'" (!).A few small things I dislike: sometimes verses are spliced together for a song, giving the impression that the Bible says things in a way it does not (happily, I have not found that the meaning is twisted from the original intent). The Lord's Prayer song uses modern language and adds the extra-Biblical ending "for Yours is the kingdom and the power . . ." Since it is a CD of Bible memory songs, I would have preferred it be 100% faithful to the text.Overall, very delighted in this product - I highly recommend it!

Hide 'Em In Your Heart CDs are delightful, uplifting, scriptures put to music. This is a way to help not only the youngest children, but parents and grandparents commit scriptures to memory. I used these CDs with my children, with my grandchildren, and have purchased them as gifts for friends with young children as well. Listen in the car, on your home CD player, any time that works!

My 4-year-old has been listening to the songs on this CD intently since we got it. Steve Green speaks at the beginning of each track for maybe 30 seconds, providing some age-appropriate context for the scripture or maybe defining some vocabulary, and then a child reads the verse with the scripture reference, and then the song begins. The songs are not long at all. There's a great mix of peppy songs and lullaby-like slow songs. The CD will likely appeal to the 8 years and below group. It's especially good for preschoolers, I think. My boys love the "kiddie" nature of the music. They aren't crazy about songs that have too intense of a rhythm and beat. So, this is a huge win. And the scripture memorization aspect goes without saying — it's the main reason I bought this product.

Bought this for my granddaughters and they both loved it. At the time they were 5 and 6 yrs of age. Yes, I would recommend this CD.

Both my sons love to sing a long the songs, even-though they are not listening to the cd.

I grew up listening to the songs from this CD. I remember the Bible verses through these songs. Now I ordered this CD now for my son.He likes to listen to them and is already singing them. This is such a wonderful way to learn verses from the Bible.It arrived quickly and was packed well. CD is good.I highly recommend this CD for all.

The two CDs in this double-set contain many excellent songs which are great for helping children (and their parents!) learn key bible verses off by heart. Each track starts with a child-friendly exposition of a bible verse, spoken by Steve Green with music playing in the background; this then segues into the song itself, which is essentially a bible verse repeated several times over to a catchy tune.There are some particularly nice touches, such as the suggestion to hold on to your tongue while singing "keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking lies" - great fun!The musical arrangements feel slightly dated, but they are still perfectly listenable to. Adults might find the introductions and repetition a little simplistic (think spiritual milk, more than meat), but then it's aimed at children, and repetition is a great way of memorising things.Highly recommended.

The majority of songs are very catchy and the kids love them and enjoy dancing to them or singing along. I was surprised by the number of songs included - very worthwhile purchase!
