I took a chance on this cedar set after having already tried a lower price set first. The other set had a similar if not identical number of pieces and at the time was listed around half the price, at 12.99 or so. Having only used lavender sachets before I wasn’t sure how scented the product should be, and with a distinct but rather mild cedar smell, I assumed they would be adequate and proceeded to put them around my house in linen storage areas and around drafty windows. It seemed like that cedar had some, but not complete effect at repelling moths (and in my case I was hoping it would work on other bugs as well) so I went to order some more cedar items.On the second round, I decided to try this product instead due to a faster delivery date desired due to an overwhelming fear of creepy crawlers of any kind. At the time of purchase, this set was listed at 24.99 or so. The product arrived promptly, but I was initially frustrated because the product box (not delivery box) was in poor shape. As soon as I started to unload it, however, it became clear this cedar set had a far stronger cedar scent. To be clear, it was not offensive or artificial smelling, and as someone who experiences migraines often triggered by strong smells, this didn’t bother me at all (usually only artificial scents bother me, like air fresheners, candles, some perfumes, etc.). It seems my initial concerns that the squished/poor quality box would mean a lower quality product were unfounded. Keeping in mind I now had twice the cedar, the addition of this product seemed to be a meaningful one and I have seen a greater reduction in (at least the visible *shudders*) bugs around my house.Overall, I’m pleased with the price and feel the product merited the slight extra expense. I bought this set a couple months ago at this point, and even now I’m still hit with a cedar scent every time I open a wardrobe I’ve used these blocks in, compared to the small closet I used the other product in (and much more of it) where the scent is essentially undetectable.A last note in considering this purchase against other products - Other reviewers of cedar have suggested using cedar wood essential oil to “revive” the wood scent instead of sanding the blocks every so often. Initially, I was resistant to that idea and felt the blocks should come scented enough that sanding shouldn’t require supplementation with oil. Now, owning over 100 pieces, I can see how the oil has greater appeal to sanding just in terms of ease of maintenance, so I did cave and buy some (2 small bottles) for about 10 dollars not long ago. Before buying that, I felt the stronger scent and greater staying power really justified this product over the cheaper, less scented, alternative. Looking back, if buying oil will be necessary for maintenance either way, it might be easier to just buy the cheaper set from the start and “refresh” the scent immediately to get a greater effect. I can’t independently validate the efficacy of this strategy, but if I had to do it over, I think I’d at least try that first. Hope this review helps others out there!

It says USA cedar... but right on the package says "made in China". Even in their answers they state "yes, it is all eastern cedar". Amazing what you can get away with on Amazon.

The cedar blocks that were delivered are 3inch x 1inch nothing close to the pictured items( picture attached with teaspoon as length reference). Will be returning for refund.

Purchased these for stocking stuffers for my grown sons whom have homes of there own and will see at Xmas time. Each cedar hanger says "Home is where the heart is."These are safe,non polluting,and a natural way to deterring ants,termites,moths,mice,bed bugs and other nuisances.They do not rot and can use sand paper to recharge the sent. A must have in every home.

My wife discovered some moth's in her closet last week. As we both lost some good wool clothing to moths 7-8 years ago in our previous house, she panicked. We already had a cedar closet but it isn't very fragrant. I suppose I need to scuff it up, but that wasn't where the moths were.I looked through various offerings and used an app called Fakespot on my Android phone on those that seemed to good. This products reviews were rated valid, so I tried it. You get a surprising amount of cedar for the price. And you can smell it. I pulled some of the old pieces of cedar we had in the closet and put the new ones around. I suppose I'll sand the old ones. Hope it works.

These things are very very small. It is not worth the money: about $15 per package... Are you for real!!!Forget it. Just find some cedar some other way. Don't buy these. You get some very very small pieces for your money. You will kick yourself when these arrive. They are horrendously small.

Had a moth issue and these solved it right up! I have two walk in closets in my house, used half of the box in each spaced around the closets and now I don’t have a month issue!

Super easy to use. Just slip it in any drawer or place them in your closet on a Shelf and voila it was done.

Was sprayed with scent when it arrived however this didn't last very long. Not sure if wood pieces are cedar.

I like the smell of cedar and you can smell it on these. Relatively smooth so no worries of catching on your clothes.
