Nite Eyes Predator Protection, Black with red lights,

I can not say how effective these lights are as a predator deterrent because I am using them in conjunction with other methods such as Cayenne pepper, etc.However, I can definitely say, from personal experience, that they flash all night from dusk until dawn after only a few hours of morning sun. They are placed on the East side of the building and get only a few hours of direct sunlight. Considering that in my location it has either been raining or overcast I am pleasantly surprised that these work so well all night long with so little exposure to direct sunlight.

Kind of spooky at night. I use this to keep large wild life away...like people. It is great to augment a security system because it looks like some type of security sensor. Very bright, very solid and lasts all night with moderate sun exposure. I also like the magnet built in to the unit. I have had this unit for over a year. It continues to function but the plastic lens over the solar panel is no longer clear. It's turned almost white and is not allowing the battery to fully charge anymore. Perhaps this can be buffed clear again?

Works great and very durable. I even found one in the bottom of water trough after several days, it still works perfectly.

These are so great for foxes, racoons, possums, skunks and who knows what else I have lurking around at night. My neighbors have lost all their fish out of the koi pond another neighbor lost most of their chickens to foxes. They come over and go "nothing is killing your chickens?" I tell them not any more and they cannot believe that something so simple keeps them away...now if they only worked on the squirrels and gophers that dig into my pens to eat well that's just wishful thinking. I'm buying more to take camping as the racoons can't wait for you to go to bed so they can scavenge through camp.

Bought this in May 2014 , still working ! Have this one and another single light and they have cut down on attacks and intruders but you must move them regularly so no one gets use to them , I learned that the hard way, got lazy didn't move, lost a chicken. These used in combination with other methods like urine , preditor urine will cut down on loses but a momma racoon will ignore them to feed her babies. Best bet for her and other determined critters is dog proof traps baited regularly with jelly, marshmallows, sardines ( you have to keep up with the weather ruining your bait.) Don't like the idea of traps? you will keep losing birds ! I protect what is mine. All said , Money well spent.

Please do not waste your money. The red lights flash way too quickly to resemble blinking eyes, and it certainly does not work on deer, which is what I bought it for. I installed it one day and it was blinking fine when I went to bed, but the next morning there were new deer pellets all over the lawn. Must have hosted an entire herd that night. You might think that the relatively low price is worth the gamble, but I recommend not wasting even this amount of money on the device.

Wish I had the success of some of the others. They haven't worked at all for my animals - they are still getting eaten. I bought two of these and six of another brand and spaced them all around my fence; however, I am still getting my animals (Rheas-big birds) eaten. These blink just fine, but that hasn't seemed to help deter any predators and the blinking doesn't seem to be a natural blink for animals. Either I have many more predators or the others just didn't wait long enough to write reviews because I have seen no relief. I hope it works for others, but not for me in my area - the predators are apparently too smart.

These solar rechargeable battery operated "nite eyes" last for years. I have ordered others that did not even work, out of the box and charged for 3 days. The bad ones said they were made in China. These may be as well, but they are the best quality and longest lasting of any models I have purchased. Plus they have magnetic attachment feature which is handy.Dale HowardAtlanta, GA
