Gun Digest Book of CZ Firearms

Unfortunately, as a fan of CZ firearms, this book was a let-down. It is a collection of short reviews based on the use of a single representative sample of a firearm. Very poor pictures, fuzzy black & white...no color. paper is thin newspaper quality. No real review of the firearm or popular accessories available....just his first impressions. No unique insight into the development of the weapons either, just the popular stories found on the web. Also no serious range report. You can tell this was a quick deal with the publisher to get a book into publication.

For the price this should have been full color. Instead the black and white photos on regular yellowish paper can be rather horrible. You cannot have wood stock guns and not have color.It also tends to really skip over some models. I expected better, considering this was on preorder for like 6 months. I see they now cut the price to more reasonable number. but since I paid the full initial price, I am far more critical than those who will buy it now on discount.

It reads like a blog post and is more of personal impressions and doesn't really provide any technical detail or anything new that you can't already find on a firearm forum. It would be great for someone just getting into CZ firearms wanting to learn about them. Very dated now also (no P10c, etc) and very limited in what it does cover.

This book is a good book on CZ Handguns. I was hoping for an all encompassing book on CZ firearms w/ all models current and discontinued.This is not that book. I was looking for information on rifles and shotguns, but I still enjoyed this book. There are a few chapters on rifles and shotguns. If you are interested in the CZ brand as a whole, this book is for you. If you are looking for a CZ book with all models of Handguns, Rifles, and Shotguns listed, this is not your book.

This is a good reference and it has some pretty good information....but don't expect the pond to be too "deep". It's more of a wadding pool than a swimming hole. You just have to ignore the poor grammar and typos. I'm not really good at this so it bugged me a bit.

I am a CZ fan and this book had a lot of interesting reading about the guns and their history

I own a couple of CZ' handguns and this book is a fine concise history of the CZ company and a nice reference for the popular handguns of today. It has some interesting information on the CZ bolt action rifles and their cold war guns. It is not meant to be a reference manual or a user guide but it is a welcome addition to any gun owners library.

This is a good book to have if you own or want to know about CZ stuff.

Wer gut englisch kann, erhält hier einige sehr gute, grundlegende Infos zu den Waffen und der Geschichte von CZ.Der Autor beschreibt seine persönlichen Vorlieben ziemlich deutlich.Übersichtliche Tabellen (mit Infos zu Lauflängen, Drall, Kapazität, Gewicht etc.) gibt es leider nicht. Einige der Infos verstecken sich aber in den einzelnen Artikeln, leider nicht zu jeder Ausführung.Prima Klolektüre für CZ-Fans.Die Shadow 2 ist im Buch nicht aufgeführt.

Interesting book to read. There is a lot missing covering the latest handguns, but overall a nice info piece.

Must have for every CZ enthusiast. The author reallly did his homework. Lots of good quality pictures. Right now my favourite gun book.

A good review of one of the best eastern European gunmakers.
