No noticeable change
I had researched tributyrin so I wasn't surprised by its "acrid" smell. It's bad enough that I don't touch it but take the capsules directly from the lid because if you even touch the capsules you have to wash your hands. This is pretty strong smelling! I even use mouthwash after taking it if I'm going to be around others soon.On the positive side, this has caused less bloating and gas than the average probiotic is currently causing me so I'm giving it three stars for that.Unfortunately, I haven't seen any benefit yet, but from researching this, I'm still hoping it is helping in the long term, even if I don't see short term benefits.I'm disappointed, though, that this company isn't more transparent in where this is manufactured or what lab testing they have done. Even though their website claims independent third party lab testing, there are no results posted and no indication of where it is even manufactured. As consumers, transparency and quality are so important and I really hope that the company will provide this information both here on Amazon and on their website so that we can feel better about the actual quality of this product.

Smells very strong, and didn't help my IBS
Tributyrin is a very new supplement, and while it has been around for a long time, there is very little research supporting it's health benefits in humans. In fact, I was unable to locate any human studies using tributyrin. There are a lot of animal studies and in-vitro studies showing microbiome and anti-inflammatory benefits with tributyrin, but no promising human research (yet). So while on the one hand tributyrin seems like a very promising supplement for gut health, it's not exactly research based and wouldn't be my first choice.I've been having gut issues (IBS) for several weeks now, and having no luck with probiotics I decided to try this tributyrin supplement. Unfortunately, I didn't notice any real benefits from it. It may work for some people, but it didn't help my stomach issues. There is also a bit of an unpleasant smell to this supplement, which I imagine many people will dislike.Thoughts:It seems like a good quality tributyrin supplement, but I'd like to see some transparency regarding 3rd party testing for this supplement. And I also just don't think there is enough research completed on tributyrin to recommend it.
