Choose Your Own Story: The Minecraft Zombie Adventure

My eight year old niece had a Minecraft bday and requested minecraft books. I enjoyed choose your own adventure books as a kid and when I found these I KNEW they were perfect for her. My only complaint is the print is a little on the small side. Other than that she really enjoyed it!

My son and I have been snowed in/school cancelled all week, luckily we still received the book from Amazon (which I ordered before the storm). I’ve been trying to encourage him to read every day, and he loves it so much he’s reading without being asked.I wouldn’t expect perfection as it is self-published, but it is nice to support authors who genuinely just want to create. We don’t need perfection, do we? Editing cost a lot. Support creatives. 💕

I recently introduced my 8 and 9 year old to these and they love them. This one is great since they both LOVE anything Minecraft. Not very long, but fun, and for 99 cents, not a bad buy :)

My 7 year old recently got into minecraft and has absolutely loved minecraft books, this takes it to a new level by allowing her to choose her own adventure! She loves the humor in it. There were some grammatical and typo- type errors I found while reading it with her, so more editing is needed but overall its wonderful for her. We will be buying the whole series.

My son struggles with reading and prefers graphic novels because of that. I wondered if a choose your own adventure might help show him that books without pics can be just as fun. He loves it! It's written in a way that is easier for him to read and the "chapters" are short, which he likes because then it doesn't overwhelm him. He's already read it 3 times. :)

I purchased for an 8 year old and while choose your adventure style books can be engaging and the Minecraft angle should work, the grammatical issues and flow of the story seem to undermine some of the benefits. At this young of an age, the 8 year old is absorbing what she is reading and was rightly questioning some of the issues, but unsupervised some might pick up worse grammar than mine by reading the flaws in this book.

Bought as a gift for someone

My 8 year old son loved this so much he asked for the next two and has already read book 2 since getting it as a gift just yesterday! Lovely seeing him reading for fun and re-reading to try out the different endings. Totally got him hooked so much that he’s insisted I add a review (read the back of book 2 where the author puts a comment to the reader and he responded that ‘yes he’s enjoyed it loads’). Definitely recommend for any reluctant readers, minecraft fans and would love to see more of them. Thank you.

Story line is interesting. Great for children to start reading non pictures novels by themselves.

I have bought so many books to try and get my 9 year old interested, even just a little, in reading. We have lots of graphic novels and a few popular series and he likes them for a time then gets bored and won't finish them. This book has no pictures, he has been going to bed and reading it before he falls asleep!!! The portions of the story before they get to decide where to go next are short so it keeps his attention for significant periods of time. He thinks it's funny and has great comprehension after reading. He does play minecraft as well, but I feel like this book would be good regardless.

My kid loves this book, the book has well-crafted scenarios and the stories keeps my kid enthusiastic about bedtime reading. The integration of familiar Minecraft elements and the inclusion of zombies add an exciting twist to the adventure and make it an enjoyable and immersive experience for fans of the game.
