No more climbing under the tree!
This was my most favorite Christmas purchase this year! I loved not having to crawl under the tree, splash water all over the place, or pick pine needles out of my hair. The only issue I had was that the water spilled over a few times because the pump wouldn't stop putting water into the tree basin. I ended up just draining it and only filling the jug up half way to be on the safe side and just checked the jug daily and that was the only issue.*There is a huge chance it was just user error so I would definitely recommend this to anyone! I even added some tissue paper to add a little extra flare and got lots of compliments!

Not As Easy As It Sounds
First off, you're gonna need your own bottle. I knew this in advance and saved a milk jug. We followed the minimal instructions that came with it but found watching a You Tube video was easier to understand. The set up was fine, it's getting it to work properly that's not.The water level needs to be even with the level of the water in the tree stand. With that said, not all tree stands are alike. Mine goes quite a way up the truck but has a false bottom on it. I also have several towels under it in case of spillage. I needed to put the gift bag with the jug on something in order to achieve the correct height.Currently the contraption is on the counter so we can draw lines on the jug so we know exactly how much we need to fill the jug.I wouldn't say this is the best thing I've bought for auto watering...but it does beat climbing under the tree.

Kept Our Tree Well-Watered
We grew tired of kneeling down and straining to reach under tree branches to add water into our Christmas tree stand every day. So we looked online for a tree waterer and found this nifty little helper! We could hardly wait for it to arrive, and once it did we were not disappointed. If you read the instructions you will know exactly how to operate it properly and then you won't go wrong. Remember that once you get the siphon working properly and the water level stabilizes, the water level in your tree stand will match the water level in your milk jug. So, just check the milk jug every few days and refill it to the right level and you won't be disappointed. It works great! I really love the gift bag "disguise". No one could tell that the one secret gift was actually a tree waterer!

Exactly what I was looking for
I love my cast iron xmas tree stand, but it has a low water capacity and is a pain to keep full. In the past I tried to rig my own siphon system to keep it full, but wasn't successful with the components I could find. Then I found this product. It is exactly what I had in mind. Most of the negative reviews I read of this product are from people who fail to understand what it is. It did take me a couple of days to figure out the range of levels within the jug that correspond to the empty and full levels on my stand. But now I can save that info for future years. My tree this year has been a heavy drinker. Using a gallon milk jug one filling lasts just about one day. (Not a gallon of water a day. Only about 4-5 vertical inches of the jug fall in the range between my stand being empty and full.) I would like to get more time between fills, but that will require finding a suitable container that is wider so it holds more water within the necessary height range. The decorative bag is a nice touch. But it prevents seeing the level of the water in the jug. This year I just did without it. If using the bag you will have to remove the jug from it in order to check the level and refill. I'm still thinking about a solution to that. Perhaps a decorative box with a hinged side.

Works pretty well
Generally this items works pretty well. Some things to be taken into consideration though. 1) if you have pets, you better find a way to fasten the feeder line to your tree holder. Otherwise, like one of my cats did, yank it out and the jug of water empties on the floor and tree skirt and 2) if you have a high tree holder, we have the big green adjustable one, you will have to raise the jug up in order for the water to flow. Otherwise, easy to use and works quite well.

Water your tree standing up for a change!!
So simple but very convenient!! I bought a couple things this year to make life with a real tree easier and this was one of them. No more acrobatics and contortion to fenagle the water jug and/or funnel in under the tree daily. One could probably make this at home with a couple items from the hardware store but it was just simple to order it up and save trips here and there looking for the required bits. The end that goes in the tree stand has a nice brass rod in it that makes it easy to place and it stays put. Can now easily water the tree from a upright position a foot or two away from the tree and keep the water at your desired level with ease!! Get this and the Krinner Tree Genie tree stand. and you’ll thank me for ever!!

It served it's purpose.
We bought this to water our Christmas tree while we were on a cruise and it did what it was supposed to do. It overflowed the first time we used it but it kept the tree alive for a week so I'm pleased. I did think it was odd that we had to go buy a water jug to make it work though...I feel that it should have come with all the pieces that it needed to work.

Great Great Purchase!
I bought this hoping beyond hope that this might keep my Christmas tree alive while I took a week long trip to Japan. The product worked exactly as advertised! I attached it to a 2.5 gallon water bottle I bought at Kroger, filled it to where it was even with the water level on my tree stand, and when I came back home, I still had water left to spare in my reservoir. One tip, though, you will need to pump it more than the 10 times that is written in the instructions to get the air out of the tube. Also be sure to watch the video that's included in the Amazon product description to be sure you understand how the product works. All in all, if you're going to be away from your tree for a lengthy period of time, this is almost a must-purchase!
