I just got this book this afternoon and my only regret is letting it sit in my Amazon cart so long! I began my clay jewelry business in January and jumped in head first with zero idea what I was doing. I’ve learned a lot the hard way. I’ve invested more time into watching tutorial videos and more money into products than I care to admit. Every single piece of advice Meghan shares in this book is spot on. I am just nodding my head thinking yes girl, I wish I had known this first! I’ve already learned several techniques that will help me overcome issues I’ve been hung up on. Handmade Clay Jewelry by Meghan Allen is a great resource for those who are just starting out in making polymer jewelry, and those who are experienced but need a creative "nudge." For example, Meghan provides a step-by-step primer on the overall process, a thorough list of resources, AND (my favorite part)--"recipes" for making specific earring styles! The book is well laid out and beautifully photographed, which makes it a fun read. Her designs are very creative, yet she makes them seem doable for those of us that are not (yet) as skilled. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in learning and growing in jewelry making!

This book is so thoughtfully laid out and has so many amazing projects, tips, recipes, etc. The list goes on. Meghan did such an incredible job. So if you’re questioning whether or not you should grab a copy, take this as a sign that you should!

This book is so beautiful and has so many amazing tips for getting started with polymer clay jewelry. There are fantastic, step-by-step instructions, with pictures, and tons of details! And to top it all off, it’s absolutely gorgeous to look at! Love it.

I got this book because of all the great reviews it had. After looking through it I am underwhelmed to say the least. If you like U shaped jewelry this book is for you. That's all that's in the book and most of the projects don't differ much from each other. It's plain and very basic. I would not make anything in it. As far as techniques. I have books on that. I was hoping for a book that would show me new inspirations! All these projects have been done a million times already. Such a waste of money on my part.

Love this book! It's very comprehensive. I appreciate that the instructions are easy to understand and follow along with as I work. There is something for everyone whether you're just starting out or whether you have experience with clay. I've got a couple of years under my belt of working with clay and I've learned a few new things in just the first few pages. There's quite a few step by step lessons on how to make a variety of styles, which also include color recipes. I also like how Meghan shows how to work with clay using just basic tools, but also shares what tools to use if you want to advance in the hobby or turn it into a business. Can't wait to try out some of these beautiful styles!

The media could not be loaded.  What a great guide to either get you started or help you along the way with polymer clay! Meghan has included lots of helpful tips, tricks, recipes and more to help you create a variety of jewelry projects. A fantastic resource for the clay community!

The book is decent with good instruction and pictures. There are some interesting (if simple) projects included. Overall a good purchase.
