Catherine - A Hundred Year Love Story Paperback – August 22, 2016

I truly enjoyed this book and the 100 year love between a lady and her soldier. It was almost impossible to put down once I started reading, but I didn't want it to end either. I was caught up in magic of how the events unfolded. John, you did it again! I hope your third book is already in process.

A love story as haunting and beautiful as Cathy and Heathcliff's! John Legget Jones does a masterful job creating the early 1900s setting that begins Catherine and Harrison's story, which transcends a hundred years into the future.

This book should have begun, "Once upon a time. . ." There should be a warning: "Not for adults, children only." I don't like giving a poor rating and, frankly, I can't believe all the 5 stars, unless children wrote them. This story is geared toward the 10 to 12 year olds.I guess I just was mistaken about what to expect from this book. It started out okay, and I expected there would be more emotion. It just felt flat with no depth or excitement. The writing, although very descriptive, lacked emotion, and it never really drew me into the story. A little fantasy is nice at times, but this was just too juvenile. Sorry!

I enjoyed this love story of a couple that met, fell in love and were separated by war that span a hundred year love story. Great example of what true love is.Story is a fast read with great characters and lot's of twist, turns and adventure. Kleenex were needed at times.I was not ready for this story to end.Looking forward to the next project from this author.

Nice concept, but unfortunately this book is written as though 3rd graders are reading it...short, abrupt, single thought sentences and shallow, unrealistic characters. I really wanted to like it but honestly, it was just too painful to read.

I love the originality of the plot. Starts off as a simple historical romance and progresses into a realistic fantasy. Loved it!

Not up to Diana Gabaldon's writing buy ok. Not written with much depthof feeling. An unbelievable fantasy, gave it 4 stars.
