ZHC Battery Equalizer/Balancer for 4 Pieces Battery Connected in Series for 48V Battery System, Solar System Extend Battery Life

I was having problems with the batteries on my ebike holding a charge. I figured one or two were not getting a full charge so I thought I'd try this before buying new batteries. I'm glad I did. I noticed a difference after the first charge and after the second charge they seemed to be back to normal. I really didn't expect much but I'm happy to say that this product actually works. I saved about seventy bucks over buying new batteries.

This was just what I was looking for. Battery storage is the most expensive part of an off grid system and this makes managing the charge super simple. Connection took about 20 minutes for two of these on my 490 ah 48 v system and where I was getting a split range of 12.9-14.1 on each battery, they were now all being the same voltage during the very important cc/CV charge cycle.

does not get hot either, meaning that it works efficiently. The only thing they could have added maybe was an indicator LED, to visualise it works. You have to measure the batteries, to see it works, but each time you do, you find almost perfect equilibrium. I'd buy it again

The device is easy to connect. It does appear to improve the operation of my old batteries. The unit is sealed/ potted but do not get it wet. The unit emits a high pitched noise, but do to its theory of operation that would appear to be normal.

Fantastic Ballencer I'm very happy well worth the money but .. update started to make a noise .it must be a capacitor. I had to returnit wish they sent me another one frequently was 6.5 khtz makes you feel like ringing in your ears

Been installed a couple days now, through 2 full charge/discharge cycles and the batteries are still not very balanced. No indication that the device is actually working other than it being slightly warm... Will keep this updated.UPDATE 1/31/19: Forgot to update last year. The device never functioned after confirming with an ammeter. Company gave me a refund, though I kind of wish they'd have sent me a replacement to try since I could use 4 of these immediately if they did work...

I've used this balancer for about six months on a string of four deep cycle lead acid batteries used in a jury rigged computer UPS. Previously, I'd had problems with batteries attached to this UPS drifting by several volts which eventually ruined one set of batteries (with one of them overheating and popping its top). With this balancer, the batteries have stayed within 0.02 volts of each other even as the string has been deeply discharged and recharged several times due to power outages. I estimate this balancer will save me hundreds of dollars in batteries that would otherwise have been damaged after a few discharge cycles.

the product works, but it gets very hot and doesn't seem to switch off once the batteries are balanced. I don't feel it is safe to leave it permanently connected with the amount of heat it is generating.
