Perfect midweight layer!
I moved from FL to MA and these base layers have saved my life. These tops are very well made. I am a petite 5'2" 125 and the small size fits me perfectly with out being too tight or too loose. The sleeves are long on me and they could have a thumb hole in my opinion but I love these anyhow, I just roll up my sleeves a bit. The top has flat seams and it is very soft, not itchy or scratchy at all. These tops will keep you warm on a hike or lounging at home. That are not inexpensive but they are worth every penny, they are a good investment. I got one in charcoal gray and wine. They're really nice.

Perfect base layer
Bought this for my trip to Norway and so glad I did! Great price, felt nice on my skin as a base layer and super comfortable. Kept me nice and warm!

Love these shirts
I've had two of these for over a year now, and worn them a lot. I just bought a third because I love them so much. The wool is truly soft, not itchy at all. This is coming from someone who is hyper aware of annoying physical sensations, for context. These shirts have held up very well. They don't become stretched out or oddly shaped like some shirts tend to after being worn multiple times. I've even put them through the dryer a handful of times by mistake and they came out fine. Compared to a new, unworn/unwashed shirt, they are maybe 1/4" shorter in length, so not much shrinkage. I love wearing these under a sweater or sweatshirt in the winter for extra warmth since I tend to always be cold, and often work outside. I also love to wear them while hiking under my wind/waterproof layer. I'm about 125 lbs and 5'6.5", and got size xs for these. Mine fit perfectly next to skin so I can layer as needed without any extra bulk or gathering. Highly recommend.

Soft
Good quality, the color was as described, and was very warm and breathable. Because it was not too thick, it worked well under my shirts.

Overall very nice
The fabric is warm and soft. Light weight but not too sheer. The large fit well. I am 5’ 7” and about 165. The only thing I disliked was a shiny silver logo on the sleeve. It is a little conspicuous if you want to wear the shirt by itself instead of as a layer.

Skip "Big" Brands and Size Down for Perfect Fit!
I had been searching for a quality 100% Merino wool base layer ever since it started getting into winter in my town. I looked at reviews and the quality of various brands- including leading name brands.I tried a different brand's 250 base layer, which is the same price point as MERIWOOL, it was a color I liked and was silky soft, but the sleeves were ill-fitting and huge, the length of the body far too long, yet tight, and so it couldn't be worn as a base layer (more just like regular oddly shaped sweater). Even if I sized down, the proportions would be too strange. So I returned it, and kept up the search....ENTER MERIWOOL!I love the light and soft heather color options, and after reading reviews, I decided to size down to a Small to get a slimmer fit for a true base layer top.It WORKED! The top fits great in all the right places, including the sleeve width and length. The cuff is long enough to go over the hands but not too long where it bunches when not over the hands. For reference, my height is 5'4", currently 132-135 lbs, current measurements are 37" Bust, 31" Waist, 35" High Hip, 39" Low Hip.My measurements fluctuate as I slim down considerably in spring and summer, another reason why I opted for the small size. The labels are hidden and tasteful, and the fabric is soft and has stretch. Not silky soft but it is very cozy. I have sensitive and dry skin in winter, so I do feel the texture of the wool, but it is not enough to feel itchy, even with nothing underneath. If anything, the texture I can feel more are the flat seams.I have not washed or used this top for any length of outdoor time yet, but if I have a different experience with it after more use, I will update the review to accuracy! In Conclusion: After further research, I am glad I did not buy a brand name item for double the price. I am looking forward to wearing this top under my layering clothes when out in the cold, and by itself to stay cozy at home. I am even considering buying the matching Meriwool bottoms. Best of Luck to you in your endeavors to stay warm!

Warm, got me through Iceland
Great, warm base layer. It did not shrink in the wash like some others mentioned. Just follow the instructions and wash on cold delicate and tumble dry or air dry like any wool garment.

The best most cost efficient base layer
- Amazing fit/shape. It’s long enough (I’m 5’9” and got a small) it comes in at the waist nicely, the arms are very comfortable, not too tight. Good stretch as well.- Not itchy- Warm. If you need warmer Meriwool has a 400g base layer available on their website.- One of the least expensive 100% merino layers. 100% makes a noticeable difference for your heat conservation.- Great colour selection! Colour looks exactly like photos. (If only AMAZON would keep stock)

Fabulous!
Fabulous, warm, lovely colour (pink), no itching/scratching.I'm usually a medium. Bust 36", Arm length 22.5", Waist 29", Hips 37", Bum 40"This fits quite loosely on me and if I was to order again I would order a small, only because this would be more of a base layer for me. If you are planning to wear this as an outer layer with something closer to your skin, it will work, but might still be a bit loose fitting. The arms are long, which I really like as I usually struggle with tops that present with too short a sleeve for me, leaving my wrists exposed and chilled.
