Peterboro Baskets - Peterboro 2 Pie Basket

Works as described and feels sturdy. Nice patina and appearance. It is similar to a Longenberger but not quite the quality. I've used for two deep dish (glass) pies and they transported well. A good idea is to put a small towel under each plate to cushion and prevent sliding about. Yes, I would recommend.

Made in America craftsmanship. A gift to someone who LOVES baskets. And, is a Master Baker. We had brought a special cake to her house in our basket, she loved both!! When time came to give the ultimate perfect gift, here it was!

Christmas gift

This is not as nice as I wanted it to be. It had some jagged edges, but it's held up so far.

I bake and travel with the desserts frequently and was happy to find this basket. It is sturdy, well made and generously sized. There is a little removable platform inside that allows you to put two desserts in one basket. It has two very strong handles with which it can be carried. It needed some airing when i first got it to get rid of the lacquer smell, but not a problem now. This seems to be the real thing; an old fashioned, well made, quality materials, useful and pretty basket.

This basket works well for carrying two pies. It seems to be well-crafted and durable, not cheap-looking. I like it very much!
