Habe mich lange mit dem einrichten eines Switches herum geschlagen, dachte er wäre kaputt! Alle möglichen Kombinationen an Konsolen-Kabel versucht… Schlussendlich diesen Adapter bestellt abgeschlossen, Kabel verbunden und siege da, er lässt sich ohne weiteres einrichten! Top! Hab ich jetzt immer in n der Laptoptasche dabei! Wurde auch unter Windows 10 einwandfrei sofort erkannt!

Works perfect to connect Split Second AFC to my PC. No drivers were needed to be installed separately, Windows 10 will automatically pull them and install them for you but an internet connection is initially required for this. Serial end is not the greatest feeling but can't argue for the price compared to an overpriced Startech or other name brand.

As others have noted, this cable requires a third party driver from the Cable Creation web site. A genuine prolific chip should be supported natively by Windows, so this implies the prolific chip used by Cable Creation probably is a third party clone, and not an original PL2303 chip. This is a little annoying, but the cable works fine. Note that this is a standard serial cable, not a null modem cable. Check your equipment with respect to what you need before purchasing.

I needed to connect a legacy bit of hardware to a Windows 10 laptop and the original cable has gone missing. I couldn't find a new cable in any of my local stores but sourced this one through Amazon. It came with some small drivers that could be loaded from a CD or from the manufacturer's website. I did the software install, plugged the cable in and bingo! It all worked as advertised. Money well spent in my opinion.
