Nicely finished. Only drawback is the large engraved advertising on the box -- would've been more attractive with a smooth finish and perhaps a small "Ideapool" engraved in a corner or on the side of the box.

pen looked good, but was pretty light weight abd cheap feeling. The wooden box was nice, but would be even better if it didn't say "Ideapool" in bold letters on the top of it!

This is a beautiful pen in a lovely box for gift giving. Initially, it arrived missing the refill, but the seller quickly rectified this issue. Would definitely recommend!

Was definitely expecting more quality from this pen for the price but it made my mother happy and I’m glad she enjoyed this. The wood is absolutely beautiful.

This is an attractive pen in an equally attractive case. It feels good in the hand. But for the money, I'm disappointed in how it writes. It tends to "snag" once in a while, and feels like something is getting stuck in the pen tip. When this doesn't happen, it writes nicely. But I can't help but notice this flaw that makes me wish I had purchased something else.

The pen and case are beautiful, but right out of the package the ink was dried up.

Overall this pen was a big disappointment. When held in the hand and about to write, the weight skews backwards, i.e. it is top heavy and wants to lean in the direction of your wrist. My biggest complaint is that the cap falls off quite frequently while writing. When preparing to use the pen, I pull off the cap and place it on the end of the pen. I make sure to push it on firmly. I will then be several sentences into whatever I'm writing when the cap will fall off and I have to stop my writing, retrieve the cap from my desk or the floor, put it back on the top-heavy pen, resume writing for a bit, whereupon the cap comes off again and the whole process repeats. I think it is because the redwood is smooth and polished, making a "grip" by the cap impossible. I love pens, and I love to write with pens, but I cannot recommend this pen to anyone.

Lovely pen with high quality true black ink. Writes almost like a quill. Perfect for a gift.
