Great book. It's so big not in size but girth. It's about 570 pages of various styles of modern day portraiture. If you love art, modern, pop and surrealism of various styles you'll love this book. Just looking at the pictures I had to view it through a few sittings.and i still seem to find things i missed earlier. Filled with great artist and illustrators and plenty of celebrity portraits also.

This has been around for a while, and I finally decided to get it. Such an amazing variety of styles and media from an international selection of artists. I keep this close at hand for a hefty shot of kick-ass inspiration! :)

That's a lot of different styles to check out, much more than I imagined. The selection is really diverse and the quality high. It's quite an impressive feat collecting them into this handsome volume.The portraits are created in all sorts of medium, including sculptures. This is a Taschen book so you know it will be good and you won’t be disappointed. This book is a stunning collection of portraits by 87 illustrators. There is a lot of different styles to check out, the selection is really diverse and the quality high. The portraits are created in all sorts of medium, including sculptures, watercolour, oil, vectors and digital paintings. The illustrations range from conceptual to a more personal style and I think it is a 'must have' book for all who are looking for inspiration.

I bought this book because I was doing a portraiture project with my classes, it has been a really valuable reference to have in my classroom, I have regularly picked it up to inspire myself and my students. There is such a broad range of styles within the book and it also gives some good information on the artists too.
