Did the trick.
It didn't wind around the skewer I was using and didn't adhere to itself but covered the brown stick so I didn't have to work if I had gaps where I wrapped the skewer with yarn

Doesn’t stay stuck
it went on great, but after a day it started unpeeling. I tried it on several branches and got the same results. i don’t know if i got and old product, but it isn’t worth it for taping leaves to branches.
