Cher Live: The Farewell Tour

We did a Concert at Home for my dear Mom for her birthday this July of 2020 because of the Covid and she loved everything about it. And although this DVD is several years older, a 2002, it still was super entertaining to watch and sing a long to. My mom danced and sang to Chers hit music and awed at all her dress changes. Cher definitely knows how to make the crowd go wild. I bought the 2020 concert shirt on eBay and made a lanyard from stock photos from Google to complete the look, and bam! Mom had a VIP Concert of Cher! If you love Cher, you need to add this DVD to your collection. A+++++

First the kudos. Cher was not only in Miami for this show, but must have stopped off at The Fountain of Youth on the way. She looked and sounded great. Her voice has somehow gotten even better as she has aged. The show is extravagant, with Cher singing her hits in the midst of highly costumed dancers, gymnasts, video clips, and a light show.My minor criticism. As with many performances on DVD, it was somewhat "overproduced." The camera switches scenes too often, uses zoom too often, and does not focus on the star enough. I'm also very tired of seeing faces in the crowd on DVDs. When you attend a concert, do you watch the crowd or the stage?Despite my minor criticism, Cher makes the whole thing very entertaining and worthwhile. If you like concert DVDs, this one is very good and worth buying. If you are a Cher fan, it is a must.

Cher's DVD of "The Farewell Tour" was excellent. I recently purchased this through Amazon.Amazon never fails to deliver right on time with outstanding quality products.If you want to be entertained,.. buy this DVD.The Girl has it all....She sings, dances,..she's funny,.. and has great stage presence.She is beautiful on stage,.. classy clothes, showy and she really entertains the audience in this video. She has many costume changes and wears them all like a showgirl.She outshines all the new age singers, and when she puts on a show,.. you will be entertained.Cher has been a Super Star for many years now,.. both in Concert shows, and as an Academy Awardwinning actress in movies. While you are in Amazon,.. check out some great movies that she has has starred in.She just keeps on going and never disappoints. Cher,.. I WAS SOMEWHAT INDIFFERENT TO CHER'S MUSIC DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE GENERAL TYPE OF MUSIC I LISTEN TO IS PINK FLOYD, BAD COMPANY, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, AND THE LIKE, BUT, I AM ALWAYS VERY OPEN TO ALL MUSIC, IN FACT I LOVE SHAINA TWAIN QUITE A BIT, AND THEY WERE PRE-TEENS WHEN SHE WAS ON TOP OF THE MUSIC WORLD, BUT DUE TO THE FACT THAT SHE WAS AN ICON, YOU'VE GOT TO GIVE CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE, SO I FIGURED THERE MUST BE SOMETHING TO HER, MY WIFE LOVES CHER, SO I THOUGHT I WOULD TAKE HER TO A NICE CHER CONCERT, WELL I'LL TELL YOU WHAT, IT WAS ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC ! You only get what you pay for in this world......But sometimes you don't even get that !!Classic case cheap DVD rated "Very Good" by supplier, however very poor sound quality...audio continuously going up and down, the band almost not there ! This of course makes you continually alter the volume of your TV to compensate....ruined the whole thing....Not good with a concert!Hey I hear you say what do you want for a couple of quid ? Well one good play would have been nice.Never again

This is Cher in full extravaganza mode - 11 costume changes and incredible acrobatic backing dancers and trapeze-style entertainers.Cher is in great voice and with her usual so-relaxed demeanour. The back-stage clips show how she is really nervous before the show and, even after 40 years in the business, hear her saying she feels as if she has never gone on stage in her life. It also shows her way of coping beforehand with ceremonies for good luck before she goes on where she has a routine of hugging someone, rubbing someone elses head and having oil rubbed on her hands with symbols such as 'E' for energy.A great couple of hours entertainment with many hits and clips from her early life with Sonny.

I went to see the farewell tour in birmingham and was not disapointed, this dvd reflects 40 years of an icon in the business and is a well performed finale. Cher, still looking her best changes the theme throughout the show from indian to 70's disco looks. No one could do it better. That aside, the singing is as strong as ever and much effort had been made. Very good production, good extras with behind the scenes and extra 2 songs. Well worth the money, a good 90 minutes entertainment!

This is Cher at her very best!. The concert spans the musical years of her life. Cher sings all or part of her songs from every decade. The costumes and dance routines are excellent and she still has the great voice that she has had since the 60's. If you ever buy a Cher dvd make sure it is this one, it is one of her best. The effects are spectacular and she gives it her all and thouroughly enjoys it too. It really did make you feel sad when the concert ends and its her farewell tour, but she really has gone out on top and one of the best singers of the time.
