Hubb Filters Inc 3207 3 Inch Filter- Thread M20X1.5

This is a great idea but you cannot find an auto service place that can clean it when it is time to change the oil! I contacted the company and they said I would need to spend $200 on the machine that cleans it and buy the cleaning fluid as well. I contemplated learning to change my oil and decided to not go this route. So back to the old style filters.

I've been using hub oil filters for a long time. The OEM oil filter on my wife's Subaru Forester is $26. This oil filter will be paying for itself after the third oil change. You don't have to actually buy the Sonic filter cleaner that Hubb sells. Actually all you need to clean it is a little bit of dish detergent warm water and the tool it comes with to take it apart. Let it dry fully and then add a little oil to it to prelube it before you screw it back in.I don't know why the only other reviewer on here thinks shops are going to clean the filter for him. These filters are for people who change their own oil. I guess you could technically have a shop change the oil and tell them not to touch your filter, but you're still going to clean the filter yourself.If you like saving money, and you don't mind getting your hands dirty this is hands down the best reusable oil filter on the market!! There's a reason this company has been around for 20 years and it's widely used by law enforcement agencies and trucking companies alike.
