No. It doesn't include anything else. It is a great idea to have it.

Q: My grandson is 9...will this be a good one for him?

I got this for my 10 yr old daughter who has be playing since she was 5, and she's pretty physical. It holds up pretty well staying outside all the time for the past year, winter and all. The net is attached to the frame with Velcro straps, and these will break with hard use. I just replaced them with small zip ties; no problem. Some people have had problems with the 'hold down' stakes pulling out of the ground. I think this depends on your soil. We have a lot of clay, and I've had no problems. I would by it again; good value.

Yes, the net is easily assembled and disassembled. It very easily fit into a small trunk.

Q: How bit is it when not assembled? Is it easy to transport and carry without a car?

It isn't very heavy at all and the pipes come in about 3 ft sections at the longest. But, there is no carry case. My 8 year old picks it up and walks it around the yard himself assembled. So if you can make or find a bag to carry it in, like a folding camp chair bag, it would be doable.
