Kids love Ninjas
I thought the book would be interesting but a little dry for a child. For an adult it shows promise for attracting children, but ultimately it was a bit uninspired - meaning that the child would read it -put it down, and forget it. It should create more of a vision to inspire the child to take up some of the discipline required to become a ninja! Make the child realize how much potential they have that is being wasted.

I wouldn't have guessed it from the cover but I found this book very informative and interesting!
Contained a more serious account than I figured of Ninjas beginning with the history of far back in 522 AD when priests that were harassed by the Government trained themselves over the course of a120 year period to learn to defend themselves. For a brief treatment I really enjoyed the book!

Entertaining and motivational, but many grammatical errors
The subject matter and depth of information contained in this book are great. In addition, the author really challenges his reader to work hard, be a good person, refrain from violence whenever possible, and persevere toward a long-term goal. There should be more books that teach these critical values to our kids! What really surprised me though, was the great number of grammatical and proofreading lapses (subject/verb disagreement, fragments, repeated sentences, etc.) These issues are especially distracting when reading the book out loud to a child (and trying to correct as you go), but could be a real problem for a young reader to work through on their own. Looks like the editing process was seriously lacking. Nonetheless, my son loves the book and the subject matter is both fun and informative.

A Book Made for Boys
This book was made for any boy that loves ninjas! With an in-depth look at the history of ninjas, boys of all ages can get their hands on all kinds of facts that are not easily found. Once boys learn the history, they are then taken on a step-by-step tutorial about how to become a ninja. Many of the steps can help kids in real life become stronger, including exercising your mind and body daily, learning to influence others and having proper ethics. I recommend this book for any young boy that has an interest in ninjas.

We home school our son, and he loves everything about Ninjas. We have been using this book in our curriculum and it has been a great fit! We especially loved the chapter on samurai vs ninja. We debated the two groups for hours. It has been a fun addition to our day.

Cover is deceiving
I bought this as a fun book for my son who has recently taken a love for Tae Kwon Do and wants to be a Ninja when he grows up. He is about to turn 6yrs old. Although the book is informative, he is far too young to sit through the entire book. Each page is like a chapter book with some pictures. The cover is deceiving as the illustration looks like it is a young children's book. This book is meant for upper elementary kids. If my son continues with his love of martial arts, I could see him enjoying it later on in life but not now.

... makes you think - I am sure he will like it, but it may be hard for him ...
ordered this for a 9 year old and it is a bit 'wordier' than the cover makes you think - I am sure he will like it, but it may be hard for him to read

More of phamplet than a book
Very dissapointed with this book. My son loves everything Ninjas and thought this would be great for him. Before even talking about the content, the "book" is extremely poor quality. Poorly printed and the photos have been scaled incorrectly so they're simply too blurry to make out the details. The content itself seems like nothing more than a copy and paste of 5 minutes searching on Google for ninja. There's nothing at all to make it targetable for children let alone fun for them. Overall I can't believe anyone would happily put their name to it and then even charge for it

Required reading for all would-be Ninja's!
I just loved this book - brimming with Ninja history, weapons and training - it is perfect for my son who loves all the specifics and indeed for me in order to speak to him sensibly about his favourite topic. Well researched by someone who clearly loves their subject and great illustrations too. Thank you, a really good read.

Ru-hu-bish
Only one star as I liked the front cover... So short & shoddy... I literally could have done a better job of the layout/images etc on my laptop. In fact, I imagine my 11 year old would probably have surpassed the layout in style and content too. Literally looked as if someone had used MS Word to construct the pages... with a little help from a google image search to add visual... 'interest'.Not good.
