Excellent resource, this book has it all!
I've been searching for a book like this for awhile now and it was perfect on what I was looking for. This book is packed with rationales and explanations on why one of the choices is the correct answer and it explained why another choice was not the correct answer. This book contained tips and methods on how to take nursing tests or the NCLEX. For example, one of the tips included on avoiding reading into the question and it elaborated on how to avoid doing this. The book even broke each section of the nursing material down into different chapters of content. I am a nursing student and I now own about 3 books for the NCLEX-RN examination and this is hands down my favorite one. It is my favorite one because it lets me practice taking test questions and lets me feel more confident on why I would choose my answers. I also liked reading this book because it did not make me feel like I was reading a text book. I will say that it does lack detailed information over the content, but this book is supposed to be used for review and to practice questions. If you want a comprehensive review then I think that Saunders has another book for that. I do recommend this book for nursing students and if you are preparing to take your NCLEX! Keep in mind to use other resources with this book and do not depend on this book only to pass the NCLEX or nursing school.

Awesome study tool!
I failed my NCLEX the first time and contemplated spending $300+ on another review course. I decided I would try this book since my instructors all said that the more practice questions you do the better your chances are of passing. I am SO glad I chose this book! I passed my NCLEX the second time and spent a fraction of the cost of other methods! I love how each question has the rationale and study tips! It really teaches you how to answer the questions as well as what to review! It definitely has a few typos, so make sure you read the rationales so you know for sure if you answer the questions correctly. I also wish it came with a cover sheet so you could cover up the correct answers while trying to honestly answer the practice questions. Other than that this book did its job!! I would recommend it to everyone!!

Closest thing to the actual NCLEX
I ordered this book to do practice questions in preparation for the Nclex-Pn. The questions are very well written and there is a variety of different question types. I actually ordered this book because I had already finished the entire Nclex-Pn question and answer book from Saunders. I love the fact that i was challenging myself with RN questions. I really recommend this book. Out of all the different types of Nclex preparation books, I trust Saunders to be the best. I took my Nclex-Pn test on March 27, 2013. My test stopped at 85 questions!! I got my results early and I did pass! I recommend reviewing material with Saunders review books and then just doing question after question to prepare for the Nclex. Love this book!

Helpful but answers on same page as questions...
Really helpful book for studying for the NCLEX. It has a lot of great practice questions and rationals and even more practice questions online if you use the evolve access code. The only thing I didn't like about the book is that all the answers and rationals are immediately adjacent to each question on the SAME page. I don't like that set-up because my eye immediately wanders over to the answer before I can give myself a decent opportunity to think the question out and chose an answer and THEN check to see if I was correct. In my opinion it would have been better to have the questions on one page and maybe the answers on the following page just so I can at least attempt to answer the question first without looking right at the answer. I guess that's just personal preference though. Overall, it's worth the investment and helpful in practicing NCLEX style questions.

I love how it has the answer underneath the question
I love how it has the answer underneath the question. It saves so much time rather than having to flip to the back of the book and then double check that you're reading the right rationale. This really has sped up my studying time and I find it easier to do questions randomly throughout the day. The format is amazing and if you have difficulty answering a question, the rationale explains it well and then suggests that you go review certain concepts to be able to answer a similar question.

I bought the comprehensive edition and thought its better to have a q&a too so i got this one. The more questions you get the more you will learn, as they said practice makes it more perfect. It helps alots if you have enough time to study. You need at least 6 hours to read these books everyday, i know its alot but i actually did 12 hrs a day when i know my exam is coming. It helped me pass my exam.

Best of the lot!
I just passed the NCLEX last week with 75 questions. Instead of taking a review class I bought 4 different Q &A review books and did many of the questions in them. Saunders was by far the best book of those I chose. It had the most complete explanations as to why an answer was correct or not. If you only buy one Q &A review book, this is definitely the one to get. Lippincott was not bad either. I was just barely a B student in nursing school....so If I can do it, anyone can! Good luck!
