Big Kalimba Book of Hymns and Songs of Worship: Sacred songs for kalimba in C

Thank you for compiling this!! It lifted my heart to God so much I sat & played about 50 in one go!!

I first used a kalimba as part of music therapy to help one better cope with daily tensions and anxieties. Even if you do not know any songs the sound is soothing. There is the rub, not knowing any songs. The standard kalimba stickers identify the keys by numbers and not necessarily notes signifying a key by number and dots. For example 2* or 2** to distinguish which note. And I know many Kalimba players who do not read music, so finding a kalimba songbook is a boon.Another plus, each song is written in standard musical notation and kalimba notation. It also has a section to help a kalimba player to read read standard notation.It is a large songbook with 100 songs, more than enough to get started.One negative the writer does not use standard kalimba notation, instead differentiating the notes in this manner !2 or 2! to indicate the right or left of the kalimba.

I just got this book and already have finished going through most of the music, it is easy to follow along and the music sounds beautiful once you get used to playing it.

I bought a kalimba for christmas on a whim and so glad i did. I have had fun playing songs from this book for my mom. Easy to use and lots of fun!

I just started with the kalimba about Nov 2020. I love it so much. It is so soothing and I enjoy playing it. I was playing by ear many Christmas songs and Christian hymns. Then I found this book! Yay! It is awesome. It has the song with the tine numbers above so it is very easy to read. I've tried reading those ones think they are called "tables" or something, but I just can't do it. I just need the numbers and I'm good to go. I'm still working on doing cords along with the main notes...lol yeah, not there yet either. So...I love this book and look forward to being able to play much quicker and remember the notes --- with lots of practice. I'm hoping to find more of these books. Would love to see Hymns and Songs of Worship BOOK 2!! Pleeeease!!
