Good, but with weaknesses in the plastic. (Also: GREAT customer service.)
Although there seems to be some weaknesses in this case (ordered October 2016), the manufacturer is working on improving the item and has great customer service. I've changed my review from 3 stars (great overall with a small weakness) to 4 stars (for quality plus great customer service). The look and fit of this case (iPad mini 4) is terrific. However, after only one month of quite light use (lighter than normal, everyday use) and no dropping of the case, a small section of the plastic near the volume buttons has broken off. This section of the case is very weak, so I expect more of the plastic to break off here soon. It's a minor issue and the case was inexpensive. However, I'll probably replace this case sometime soon with one that's stronger.UPDATE #1: Within two days of posting this review, I received a message from the manufacturers regarding the item. They write, "We are working on an improved case, without the issues stated above. For now i’ll like to issue a full refund for this order, and once we have the improved case we’ll send it to you for free." Seems like great customer service!UPDATE #2: Refund for the damaged case received the same day order number was submitted. Again, great customer service!I will update the review again as necessary.

Looks Great. Functionally ok.
I'm all about functionality and ease of use. For me, this is why it's 3 stars and not 5. Also, I'm not looking to replace it.This product could easily be 5 stars for me if it worked the following way...- The way I like to hold the iPad is with my left hand and click/swipe around with my right. I prefer to have it fold in half with the circle 'home' button on the right side so I can use my left hand/fingers to hold the device easier using the 'crease' of the folded over cover (you know what I'm talking about)- The rubber inside cover isn't very 'sticky' so the iPad slides flat easily. Seems like a simple solution would be to make it more tacky to reduce slippage or add some of that rubber to the plastic part of the case that rests on the inside cover when trying to prop it up. Also, the inside cover will leave dimple marks on the screen

Great product, thin, perfect fit for iPad Mini 4 at an amazing price.
I've had the case for 10 days and so far I've really liked it. I like cases that snap on tightly rather than using elastic straps or slipping into a bulky sleeve. My iPad Mini 4 is in there securely and it is very thin when closed. It's also grippier than the bare iPad, which is very slick making it easier to hold. Being thin, the iPad still fits in my back jeans pocket or cargo pants leg pocket. The padded leather portion is nice and when closed makes a natural grab spot. It just feels right somehow. My only complaint, which is extreme nitpicking and not a big deal:If using plaid, or any stripes, they need to be straight vertical, or at 45 degrees. Mine just looks skewed, like time to make it was rushed so it couldn't be done right. Yes, very minor, but why not get it right? It feels like suit cloth, make it as a suit would be: straight.Suggestion: make one in suede with the leather too, or all leather. I do like the material though. At $13, the price is certainly right. The price does reflect the quality, which is high.

Gorgeous product - great customer service!
I received the black/gray case with a couple flaws, but customer service was incredible! Here are some pros and cons...Pros:Case is absolutely beautiful! Of all the iPad cases I've purchased over the years, these are the best designs I've seen.Minimalist design - very thin if you are going for that type of designThe front and back cove extend slightly past the plastic case that the iPad snaps into. I like this as it gives a little extra protection in the event of a drop, and it looks really nice when it is closed.Works with the Wake/Sleep function as well.Perfect cutouts around the speakers, etc.Cons:The plastic case that the iPad snaps into isn't too thick or thin. However, one edge by the Lock button has a crack in it. It's such a thin piece that I may just snap the thing off as it won't hurt the case in doing so.I had a scuff on the black leather upon receiving it.The magnets aren't quite as strong as in other cases I've received, but they do the job.The front cover doesn't have any ribs on it - which is perfect for the minimalist. However, it does make it a bit difficult for the iPad to be stood up on uneven surfaces as the inside of the front cover is a bit too slippery to hold it at certain angles. Works great for table use, but not as good as some cases. However, I love the minimal design and would gladly take this as a trade-off.The dark grey fabric, in certain lights, has an ever so slight burgundy tint to it. I don't notice it at all outside or in most places, but I do inside of my home and other homes. I'm thinking it may have to do with the warm colored lights we use?The rubber-like edging around the fabric had slightly spilled onto the fabric during the manufacturing. I could see what looked like a very small black smudge on the top-left edge.I planned on just living with the minor flaws of this case for two reasons - they were very small, barely noticeable flaws, and ultimately I was so pleased with the aesthetics and functionality of the case for the cost - it wasn't even worth making a fuss over it. However, I received an email from Setton Bros. kindly asking for a review. So, I'm not into just writing a negative review without contacting customer service first. Companies are made up of people, and people make mistakes. Give them a chance to make it right. So, I contacted customer service about these minor flaws. I expressed to them that I wasn't looking for a refund or a replacement, but merely that they had asked for a review and I thought I would share with them some of the production flaws. The owner contacted me directly and was very kind and apologetic, and insisted on immediately sending a replacement - which was flawless. He briefly explained their production challenges in regards to the magnets as well. This kind of experience can be rare, and so I am pleased to give five stars and a great recommendation for this product! I have since acquired the gray/brown color as well - fantastic!
