I like these more than I thought I would. I’m a leathersmith and I put a lot of snaps on things. At first I was amused because it’s just a pair of vice grips with a couple metal attachments welded on to the jaws but it really does make setting snaps a total cinch. And they come with the perfect assortment of snap colors to get someone started.

I purchased both a grommet kit and a snap fastener kit from HAPDEN. Both came with a generous supply of fasteners and have worked well. “Pliers” to set fasteners are well built and provide adequate leverage to set the fasteners. I would buy another tool from this brand based on the performance of these two.

Hapden snap fastener tool worked perfectly. It was simple to use and the crimps were solid. I did not have a single crimp fail. I would highly recommend this tool to others.

Excellent tool , snaps are minimal is the reason for not giving 5 stars. It beats dragging out the press for 2 snaps. What i really want to say is the Great Service and availability of tracking in a timely manner. Shipped immediately and arrived one day before scheduled date which was quick . Recommend to any leather worker. Thank you.

Good quality and assortment of snaps and eyelets

Bought this to replace some of the snaps that have gone missing on our marching band's heavy rain coats. I tried to cut corners by ordering the sort you have to hammer in first but those are so time consuming and honestly once you price it out, not much of a savings. I don't know yet how well these will hold up but the snaps all seem to work on the same principal so if the snaps rust or fall out, the snap setter should still work to set something of better quality. I want to be able to replace snaps in a hurry, on a bus or on the turf, without having to carry around a hammer around and wandering off to find a solid surface to use it against. I'll update once our coats have withstood a few rainy games or parades. The only negative I see so far is that this is very much a one trick pony - works for one size of snaps and only metal snaps, not grommets or plastic snaps - but for the price, it does the job well. I've even made use of it a few times now for items that didn't already have a snap and the hole punch feature works great even through multiple layers of fabric. Easy to use once you get the knack for it - no tools needed to change the different pieces.

This is not heavy duty! It will not crush the the tip into a mushroom on a heavy duty stainless snap. On a softer brass snap It is clumsy to use and does a mediocre job.

We bought this to add snaps to our patio cover. Did the job well. The pliers do require effort to squeeze, but we're a middle aged couple and both of us could do it. There are different pieces that need to be swapped out when either punching the holes or attached the snaps. They are magnetic and we didn't have issues with them falling off. We attached 12 snap sets and the pliers didn't loosen or fail. The first snap was the same as the last. Once attached the snaps all snapped together exactly as expected. No complaints.

Les différentes matrices magnétiques fournies et qui peuvent être installées sur l'outil sont faciles à installer et désinstaller. Vraiement utile et polyvalent.
