Why not reduce the dangers in your water get great value at the same time? Here is why you should get a Glacial Stream Personal Water Filter Straw - According to national statistics from different publications and Government studies ALL water is contaminated in some way. Therefore, the only safe way to have clean water is by utilizing some form of water filtration - This Portable Water Filter eliminates up to 99.9% of heavy metals as lead, mercury, hydrogen sulphide, aluminum, arsenic, cadmium, chromium, and barium, in addition to chlorine, fluoride, E.Coli, giardia, algae, fungus, scale, and sediment. All of this is done without the use of chemicals. - The filtration straw does this with a combination of three micro filters, activated charcoal, and a patented, high purity metal alloy. The alloy consists of two dissimilar metals, copper and zinc, that once wet, create an electrostatic charge that attracts contaminants and electroplates them onto the media through a process called electro-chemical oxidation reduction. - The Water Filter Straw is a perfect solution for your daily filtration needs or in any situation where the water may be dirty, just put it in your bottle, glass, or cup and start sipping. Now keep in mind this filter works by suction so there will be a slight resistance when sipping, this ensures you that the filters are doing their job and supplying you with clean fresh water. - Give yourself or your loved ones the peace of mind of always having an extra layer of filtration when drinking water while on the go. Remember when in doubt, sip it out. - This Personal Water filter is proudly made in Canada to the highest quality standards We have a no hassle 100% guarantee refund policy. If you use this and do not love it, simply return it for a full refund. You have nothing to lose. Consider picking up an extra one for that active friend/family member who is always on the go!

Appears to work.
I bought this filter straw to see if it would improve the tap water here at my school. There is some mild restriction when sucking water through the straw (Expected), but it's not terrible. Compared to the raw tap water, there does appear to be a reduction in metallic taste, which indicates some level of filtering is happening.According to the packaging, my filter was made in Canada by a company called "Clean Sip". I would really like to see a legitimate, certified 3rd party lab report for this filter before using it while hiking, or in known contaminated water.

Convenient Traveling Filter
I like the filter straw because of its convenience. I wish the plastic tube that it came in was more sturdy since I use it to carry the filter straw with me.My only concern is with draining the filter straw after using it. I do not want mold to build up, so I usually place it bottom side up in my mouth & suck any remaining water out, and then vigorously shake it to dry out more. (Unfortunately the directions do not address airing out the straw.)Nonetheless, I will purchase this product again because it allows me to have filtered water whenever I am out of my home.

great product very small.
this is in my EDC normally i would use a sawyer as they are fantastic however i wanted something to remove chemicals from water and sawyer cannot do that. so i got something with charcoal , it says it has a shelf life but FYI ppl charcoal has NO shelf life its good forever and if you seal it, it will not absorb anything from the air or whatever. so keep it in the plastic tube it comes in.once used however it does have a shelf life as it may grow mold or bacteria its good for about 300 gallons or a few months of use depending how dirt the water is.my suggestion as a prepper IF POSSIBLEfilter though rocks then dirt then sand then some sort of shirt pants or cotton. then use the straw it will pro long the life OR get a sawyer and filter though that then use this to take out any chemical taste from the water it will keep it life much longer this way. (but remember unlike sawyer it does NOT have anti bacterial stuff bult into it and will grow stuff or taste bad after a while.

Exactly what I was looking for!
The compact size on this straw is what makes it so useful/unique. While its overall lifespan will be lower than a larger filter straw, its filter volume is MORE than adequate for its intended usage. Plus since its so discreet/pocketable I think its just as useful for "urban carry" as it is for camping trips. At a restaurant with funny tap water? Whip this sucker out! Want to fill up your water bottle at the airport and not have to pay for bottled water? Great to use for that too. Throw it in your day bag and forget about it! I basically use it for anytime I want water and the local tap water is questionable (travel/restaurant use namely). Though it would CERTAINLY hold up on that dirty puddle you are drinking out of if you get lost in the middle of the woods. I keep one in my day bag, and one in my glove compartment. Having clean water no matter where you go is such a lifesaver (and luxury if you ask me). For this price, why hesitate? Whether you are a hardcore prepper, or just as neurotic as I am about tap water with off flavors, this works!

Nice little water purifier.
Bought 2 of these for an upcoming trip to the south Pacific. I hope we don't have to use them, but they provide great peace of mind knowing that if we need them, we have them. They are so small they fit in a shirt pocket or cargo pants pocket. Do yourself a favor and get one of these if there's any chance your drinking water might get contaminated.

Looks good. Small size filter perfect for the emergency kit in my car. Each one comes in it's own perfectly fitted protective tube with directions. So you return it to the tube after every use to keep it clean and protected. Tubes are a little over 8.5" long, so straw is slightly over 8". They are going in my kit tonight.

glad to have them at the ready
Ordered a few for the family before Irma, they arrived immediately. Waiting to see if I need them with the storm--if not, they go in the camping gear container, although my Boy Scout may take one for his kit. These have been on our "to buy" list for a long time, glad to have them at the ready. Nice size and container to keep them clean and safe in. Love that they won't expire or go bad if not used.
