It will work well enough for what it is. It seems sturdy enough to last. My disappointment is with the quality of the powder coating. It's either very uneven, or mine was handled pretty rough in its travels, or both. There are several places on the handle where the coating is chipped off as I take it new out of the bag. A short time stored outside in the shed, and those areas will rust, which will lead to more coating flaking off, etc. Not a deal breaker, just disappointing. The vendor, Duncan Poultry was super fast on shipping. It didn't come Prime, but might as well have.

Don't waste your money. This is not one piece of steel. It is two with a poorly designed joint in the middle that doesn't screw in and stay straight. The joint is very weak and causes the whole thing to bend in the middle. If I could give it a zero star for sturdiness I would. The threads are longer than the connector and not threaded straight to begin with. Very disappointed.

Not happy. Add clearly says one piece design. Mine came with this junky little nut in the middle and two pieces that screw together. Problem is either the threads are striped on the catcher or the nut. Wont thread tight and now it's all wobbly. Just ugly and strange.

Its made well enough, the coating isnt perfect. The worst part for me is that my chickens see me coming with this thing a mile away. I still end up running around trying to hook a bird and even if I get close enough I rarely get a good hook. Its a good tool to help corral the birds back into a coop or out of an area I dont want them in, though thats not what its made for. Ill keep it just because its not worth the hassle of sending it back.

Finally can catch my younger chickens! Once I got the hang of snagging the chickens foot it was super easy to catch the chickens! Koodos to whoever invented this item!!

Does what it is supposed to. There is a learning curve on how to snag a leg, but once the leg is grabbed they submit easily. I have 2 that say they are wild beasts not cuddly little chickies, and this is a lifesaver.

I hate to give this even one star. I caught one bird, and it was all bent out of shape! Not to mention as I was walking with it, on the way to catch the bird, it kept falling apart. I had to stop every few steps to tighten the nut. Waste of money.

Makes chicken catching so much easier, this will last a LIFETIME I REALLY MEAN A LIFETIME I see NO way you could BREAK THIS HOOK. THE HANDLE NEVER GETS HOT! I HAVE MINE HANGING RIGHT ON MY COOP READY RIGHT WHEN I NEED IT GREAT PRODUCT!
