STAY AWAY, BULBS FAIL AFTER A FEW MONTHS-- DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!
UPDATE: AFTER 6 MONTHS ONLY SEVEN BULBS STILL WORK, MEANING THAT 17 HAVE FAILED!!!UPDATE: AFTER 3 MONTHS, SO FAR SEVEN (7) OUT OF TWENTY FOUR (24) BULBS HAVE FAILED. STAY AWAY! I WAS ABLE TO RETURN ONE THAT FAILED WITHIN THE APPLICABLE PERIOD DESIGNATED BY AMAZON. YES I DO BELIEVE YOU CAN RETURN TO COMPANY AS PER WARRANTY BUT I WANT NOTHING TO DO WITH THEM AND I DO NOT WANT THE HASSLE OR SHIPPING EXPENSE. I WOULD RATHER DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME. I AM VERY UPSET. HERE I THOUGHT I FOUND A PURE WHITE GEM OF A LIGHT BULB AND THEY ARE PURE GARBAGE.I bought 2 dozen of these for my home. The light is not omnidirectional but I bought them bec UL listed and because the light color temp was white and not yellow nor too white (blue). I tried about a dozen different companies and considering the price and color these were hands down the best. Only negative is that light directs upwards so in dining room I have 15 of them (3 fixtures with 5 each) and it is bright but not as bright as if they were incandescent. This is the only negative plus the fact that it is flame tip but I have realized that with the lights on this is not noticeable. If the fixture points down (as is the case with my modern kitchen fixtures) this is not a problem. But basically expect 35-40 watts output and be mindful of the directionality issue in case you have few upward facing bulbs and require more light. These were about half the price of the omnidirectional ones and some of the companies that are supposedly producing the whiter light e12 bulbs are actually making the leds in their basements and that is why they have high failure rate and no customer service. If I am spending six bucks a bulb it better be UL rated and made by a real company not some company called "sexy leds" (I kid you not, look for them on amazon, it's downright disgusting).
