The material I used to create these earrings is called Fordite or Detroit Agate. This material was created from decades of paint build up at a custom Harley Davidson shop. Layer upon layer, paint over-spray built up on metal racks that transported new car bodies through the paint shop, and into the oven, where each coat was baked hard. It's a piece of Michigan history and these cufflinks are made by my born & raised Michigan hands!!! This Fordite is awesome! It has bright shimmering colors with an amazing pattern. There is a quartz crystal dome cap on top of the Fordite that magnifies it making it truly mesmerizing! I bezel set the cabochons ( a tad under 1/2" ) in a decorative sterling silver bezel to a sterling silver background (stamped 925). I've left the backs open so you can see the patterns on the back of the Fordite. Sterling silver ear wires. Total drop from top of ear wire is about 1 1/4".
