With the reviews being mixed, I wasn't sure what I was going to receive or if it was going to fit. And boy did it over exceed my expectations!! Beautiful hat, wonderful quality for a costume, and for wonderfully over all of my hair! I added flare to make it uniquely my own. Unless you have an extra large head, buy it! You won’t regret it!!

Needed low-grade accessories for a pirate party. Was looking for a hat at a price that I wouldn't mind losing or leaving behind, but was still a step up in quality from 'kids birthday party hat'.This fit the role quite well. The material is sturdy and durable, and the fit was fine for my 22" diameter head (average sized head?). It's a felt material, and bound to be very warm if it's a high-temperature day.I kept my wits about me enough to hold on to it through the party, and I imagine it'll last me through several more Pirate Days.

If you have a small head be aware the the inner circumference of my hat was 24 inches. Rather large! I put some adhesive bike helmet pads inside my hat and now it fits great and no one can tell it is large. It is a good value for the price.

The hat was nice enough, sturdy. The product itself was good for the price, and a good addition to a cosplay closet,. But unlike other reviews, I found this was a very poor fit for a larger than average head. (For reference, I wear a hat size "large", about 7.35 inch band size). I would recommend this for anyone with a small head. It was way too small, and was a wasted purchase because of it.

This is a pretty good little hat! Pretty sturdy. It’s a little big on me... fits better when it’s snapped (somehow feels bigger when it was flat). Measured the inside... Apx 22”.Wouldn’t fit a guy with a big head! :DIn my picture it doesn’t look as black, but it is a true black color.It’s going to go great with my pirate costume!

Overall, I’m pretty happy with the sturdiness of the hat. It’s great quality for the money!I will say that it is kind of small. That’s no problem for me because I have a small head, but it’s not for everyone.

Great pirate hat! My wedding was October 30 and I was able to shed my tuxedo and don my pirate outfit with hat. Everyone was surprised and we had a wonderful time; I should get married more often!

The first hat shipped had two broken snaps. I wouldn't recommend snapping & unsnapping because they are not sturdy. The replacement hat was all snapped up and in fine shape. The felt is thicker than some other costume hats and has a quality look. Happy with the look and fit. Makes a good addition to your Victorian, Colonial, or Pirate themed costume.
