An Awesome Epoxy that is strong, waterproof and flexible when cured!
The West Marine G-Flex Epoxy works well for the situations it is developed for. It is not a 5 minute set, which gives you time work with it. It is a strong epoxy that is waterproof and stays flexible once cured. Awesome for boat work, ski and snowboard repair etc. items that need waterproof and flexible qualities. It has worked well for the projects I purchased it for and I only use it for the repairs that require its properties. About 2x the price of regular epoxies.

Repaired split wood on my couch, and performed beautifully!
I was worried when it arrived and said it was for use on plastics, but decided to give it a go anyway to repair the split wood on my couch. I mixed it with the tiniest amount of Eye Candy coloring in a bowl and used a toothpick to carefully place it into the widened crack and knot. I clamped it all together and used painters tape to ensure nothing could drip through the bottom. Then I used a dry paper towel to very carefully wipe all the excess from the wood around the crack. It left a small amount of residue. After a couple of hours I took a paper towel and some rubbing alcohol and removed the residue that remained around the crack, being careful to work fast and not be overly aggressive so as not to remove the original finish on the wood. I let it cure for 24 hours and unclamped everything, and ventured a sit! It's been a week of regular use by 4 adults now and that foot long crack is nearly invisible and is holding perfectly. Tips: 1) This shrinks SLIGHTLY as it dries. You may want to leave the slightest mound on whatever you are filling if you don't want a valley. 2) Cover everything in painters tape (wood, clamps, etc) if you want to be able to pop them loose. Otherwise you may end up permanently attaching a new piece you didn't want. Amount: dispensed maybe 1/3 of the tube for this project. I had a minimal amount left over. The tubes were approximately the length of a hand.

Works as intended
Used this to repair and seal my ski graphic surface. The product mixes well and is easy to apply. It makes for a very high quality repair when sanded and painted over. It will dry yellow after time. I have had no failures where I have used this product.

Wish I bought the larger size
Works fine on my Royalex canoe, but I didn't realize how many gouges I needed to fill in. And then, on my first day out, gouged up a bunch more. It covered a few big gouges.

So far, so good!
So far, so good! Nothing sticks to polyethylene boat waste tanks the Google says. Practical experience with my favorite epoxy ( it uses the Godfather of soulโs initials) both marine and plastic formulas proved that true. Enter this stuff. I drilled a small at the end of the crack to prevent further propagation, and gooped it on. Tests on the dock and after reinstall, no leak. I will say my old boat is a floating condo, so no sea trial in store. Saved me $400 to $500 bucks.

Long Cure time.
Works well! Sticks to rotomolded HDPE well enough. I repaired my kayak in the field... but the problem is that this needs 24 hours to cure! If you have that kind of time, you will like this product. I will buy it again, even though I don't love the 24 hour cure time because it does work pretty well on plastic.

AWESOME PRODUCT
Anything that will essentially glue a roto molded kayak back together only to be slid down a dirt hill is awesome. One of the many products in the West System family that the Gougeon brothers got right.
