This absolutely stunning piece of art, is truly one of a kind. Pictures don't do it justice, and only when you see it in person will the eye popping details really stand out. Hand painted by a self-taught Chicago Artist who created this technique of painting. Unlike other typical painting styles, where the artist adds and applies paint to the canvas to create an image, this artist's technique is to carve and remove paint to ultimately create the finalized image. To fully explain this unique technique, the Artist skillfully applies an array of acrylic colors onto the mirrors surface and blends the paint in a specific pattern to create a vibrant puddle of color. This puddle of color is then allowed to properly dry. He then meticulously cuts away and carves the paints surface using a surgical blade, to create an exceptionally detailed image. The painting is then sealed to protect the final product. This piece is in the image of the iconic Starry Night Painting by Vincent Van Gogh. The glass sheet measures 24" by 20". There are two typical ways the painting is displayed. One option is to take the mirror, and frame behind an additional sheet of glass for further protection. Another way to display the painting to mount the glass directly to the wall using mirror mounts or wall brackets. This option provides a sleek and distinctive look to the painting.
