Japanese cakes are the best
Since it is not in my budget to go to Japan to buy cakes, these are a great way to get Japanese cake. These cakes are individually wrapped for freshness. I have ordered them before, but previously, I had to wait several weeks for them to arrive from Japan. This time, the cakes arrived in a couple of days.

So yummy, But customs makes it take forever to get to me!
First off, For those first buying this, Expect a long wait if you don't happen to live in Japan. It has to go through customs, Which takes forever, And I only just got it today. And I ordered it almost a month ago.But man is it worth it. The box is so cute, And has a bunch of Kanji on it that I can't read, But the happy little carrot on the flap was so inviting!I ate two of my snacks today, The first having what looked like a root on the front of the plastic package. It tasted just like sweet potato to me! Or yam if you want to be technical, But it was so yummy! The second looked like two tiny pancakes, With a almost clear jelly between them. I'm not sure what it was made of, But that was so tender and delicious. I love it already, And can't wait to try the rest! The bag is pretty small for what I had expected, But it has a lot of small treats. They're so cute!I can't read the language, So I'll have to look it up, But I love these snacks!I just wish that the transport hadn't taken so long, As I was about to give up. Customs sure takes it's sweet time.

Really good
Some came a little squished but that didn't affect the taste. My son and I wanted to try some treats from other countries. We gave these a try. Did not disappoint. Within the week we tried them all. We will have to try some others now.Not dead sweet which is nice.

Tasty but too much sugar
These were tasty but had too much sugar for my taste. I am used to other kinds of moon cakes, and they are less sweet. You can see the granulated white sugar in the mixture inside. Not my favorite. Also, the sizes were very small, tiny. I wouldn't recommend the price—faster shipping than expected, considering that it is a foreign product.

These manju are still great, period.
First of all, these manju are great, period. If you are not familiar with these already in Japan, they might not be for you. But if you enjoy genuine, freshly made treats from Japan, at a great price, then give these a try. Not to be confused with “Japanese” manju from Taiwan or China, these taste every bit as good as getting similar tasty manju snacks when you are in Japan. Not too sweet, soft and fresh. Shipping took one week to Hawaii, we got two bags with 14 freshly made treats in each. The price for what you get including express shipping is a bargain. No funny tastes or odd odors in the slightest, these are the real deal from Japan. For what you pay, for what you get, these are two thumbs up!April 7, 2021 UPDATE:We have ordered these manju 6 times, all our orders have been perfect. Our latest order just took 7 weeks to arrive yesterday even though KTestsu shipped them the very next day after ordering. The problem is US Customs holding the package for weeks to inspect it. Shipping is extremely backed up now, the manju meanwhile was still great.

Very Tasty!
The thing to understand about these Japanese sweets is that they are small, a lot smaller than many American sweets. This is NOT a problem if you know it before you order them. (I did know this and I am fine with it). But if you don't take that into consideration, you may be disappointed in their size. THAT said, I actually like that these sweets are small, because they're perfect for a snack or to toss into my lunch. They are each individually wrapped to stay fresh. I can't read Japanese so I don't know what all the flavors are, but I suspect some of them are sweet bean paste, since that is popular with Japanese sweets, and I've had bean paste sweets before so I recognize the taste.I think these are really tasty and have a different sort of flavor than American sweets. I love that they are mostly cakes with a paste inside, so I get both sweet and cake texture. I would definitely order these again (and probably will when I finish off this bag - I'm trying to go through it slowly, though!). Great price. Three were duplicates but that was fine with me, they were really good. So far I haven't tasted any I didn't like yet.

NOT WORTH THE MONEY
I had just come back from Japan and really enjoyed their treats and desserts over there. I thought I could find similar treats when I returned home to the US. Not so. They were like little cakes and although a good variety, all of them pretty much tasted the same. Some I found quite unpleasant. There were maybe one or two that I actually thought were okay. Too expensive and not enough taste.
