Tile is uneven
The tillable linear drain does not sit deep enough in the drain channel. When you tile the “grate”, the tile is considerable higher than the shower pan tile.I’m not happy. Neither is my customer

Another well designed part of the Kerdi product line.
The Kerdi-Line channel bodies and corresponding grates are fairly expensive, but they definitely provide a very nice system for building out a custom shower prior to the tile work. The final product should be great, with this linear drain adding a very nice design style for the bathroom when we complete it. It's definitely a well designed system, and the fact it is all fully waterproof, easy to work with, and lighteight is a great. When installing this channel body on a slab, there's a bit more involved in making the connections to the PVC drain line, but overall just a small amount of extra effort to get right.
