Works great!
Great meter!! Has more stuff than i will ever use. Nice display size. Only complaint, after arriving, tried to turn on, was absolutely nothing going on. Battery was completely dead!! Put in new battery works great!

Good, save for the fact I accidentally fried a motherboard with it
I got this multimeter because I have been desperately trying to fix my Ender 3 3D Printer for the past year or so. I was able to use it to help determine the wattage on parts of the motherboard. Unfortunately somewhere along the line I hit something, and part of the motherboard started smoking. I did read the instructions but there probably was something I missed. Other than that one bad experience, it worked like a charm. I honestly can’t say if it was the printer’s fault, the multimeter’s fault, or my fault, so I’m only knocking it down a star. It is a great deal for the price, but I guess you need to be precise sometimes.

It wasn't very shocking
The first thing I noticed right out of the package was the weight and all around feel of the meter. It was a lot lighter and didn't feel as rugged and durable as others I've handled. It had 3 sets... Not 1... Not 2.. But 3 sets of leads that you hook to it for various readings. It also had a 9 volt battery included in the case and a tiny screwdriver for the battery cover. Now trying the meter out with supervision from my husband of course, I noticed the screen didn't have a light which made it hard to see. It did however do its intended job and gave a correct reading. The only 2 downsides to it that I saw were no backlight for the screen and the overall cheapish feel that I knew wouldn't withstand a week with my husband using it before it was in pieces. Those 2 reasons are why I'm giving this 3 stars. That's based on functionality and price. It worked as intended and was very reasonably priced considering the extras it came with. It is just hard to see the screen and doesn't feel durable enough to survive the inevitable drops and abuse from being tossed in our tool bag.

Very versatile and works well
I recently had a car battery issue that took some time to diagnose - this was a big help, as it allowed measuring amps while the car was off (and proved that there was no parasitic drain, despite the battery passing tests). I've occasionally used a much simpler multimeter, but I'm no expert and found the expanded functions all easy to use and understand. I got a 2nd multimeter and was able to confirm measurement accuracy between those, plus for volt measurements my old simple meter and a new battery charger. This multimeter also has a greater range than many competitors. A 10A maximum seems common, but this one goes to 20A. That gave me some comfort in testing amps drawn while my car was off. 10A should be plenty, but something was clearly wrong with the car so I wasn't positive what range I'd need until tested. Activating components of the car - even opening a door - will pull a lot more, and I'm a novice on most car work too.An unplanned bonus test was when at some point, I blew the fuse on the multimeter. I'm not even positive when I did it, as the only symptom was the amp reading dropping to 0. But, it's still an important feature and did its job because once I replaced the fuse, the multimeter was working perfectly again. The instructions and even the meter itself warn to limit amp measurements on the 20A limit line to 15 seconds. That seems common among most comparable meters, but wouldn't work for my car draw tests. Many cars have a higher initial draw for a minute or so when a battery is first connected (or when the car is turned off). You have to wait for its systems to time out and go into true idle mode, but it will only do that if the battery stays connected. So, I eventually just ignored this advice and found that measurement accuracy remained with no degradation. My actual amp measures were probably always under the 800mA max that has a 2nd terminal connection and no time limit warning - so maybe the limit is only a factor as you approach 20A. I used the 20A terminal almost exclusively, as my tests were expected to hit 350+mA and that just seemed too close to the known fuse max.The display is big and easy to read, I found the automatic backlight worked well. The LCD is also easy to read in sunlight. The dial also has a small light that's handy - it shines on the selected setting. A very handy reminder, as it's important to choose the right setting and connect to matching terminals. Maybe 2nd nature for an expert, but I didn't know the ~ and _ symbols for AC and DC until a few days ago.The Annmeter digital multimeter includes a required 9V battery, and even a small screwdriver to open the battery compartment. Installation was easy - and repeating it to replace a fuse opens the case the same way.The case also has a magnet on back, but I find it's not nearly strong enough to secure the meter. The meter seems a little light for its size, but the magnet would only barely hold it upside down. Vertically, it would immediately just slide down.An included card lists a hotmail address for support and offers an extended warranty for a review, though mine is just a standard part of the Vine program.

A multimeter so ‘multi’ it includes wireless power-sensing and temperature-probe metering
ITEM: Annmeter Multimeter – AioMest Brand – Meter IKOVWUK Mdl. HT113C – T-RMSPRICE: $ 24.99 at time of reviewIf you’re looking for the ‘Swiss-Army-Knife’ of multimeters, this may be the one you’d want. While I have a number of traditional volt-amperage-ohm-conductivity meters, this meter takes all of that utility, and adds a few more functions that I’d not anticipated; proximity (non-contact) power sensing and temp-probe measurement.Regarding instructions... A big ‘thumbs-up’ for the ‘how-to-use’ videos on the vendor page. That pretty much gave me a very quick education on the meter and the markings on the dial-ring. I wasn’t expecting that much assistance. This is the meter I’d take with me when I want to cover my bases, not the meter I’d necessarily use when focusing on straight electrical work. I have a device for testing outlets and if they’re wired correctly. I have temperature meters. And I have ‘clamp meters’ for non-contact line amperage metering. And the reason I separate these testing functions is because the larger dedicated meters are simpler, easier and ultimately quicker to use. And maybe they’re a bit more accurate. But again, if I could only have one meter with me, the Annmeter I reviewed would probably be the chosen one.In simple terms, I ran it through some ‘comparative testing’ with one of my larger clamp meters. It agreed with only non-critical differences when compared to my clamp meter. I have no issue with accuracy. But while using it, one glaring issue did come up, which was the display. I can read the LCD display when there’s good lighting. But if I hit the ‘backlight’ button for reading in darker environments, it only stays illuminated for 10-seconds. If I’m holding the test probes with both hands, or both hands are otherwise occupied, that’s not enough time to glance at the display and get the initial or multiple readings.Aside from my issue with the display backlight, I was very pleased with the accessories that came with the meter, including two AAA cells. It even came with a small Phillips-head screwdriver for removal of the battery cover on the backside. Understanding that this is a very-enhanced-function multimeter, I say they did a decent job given the very economical pricing. And for family or friends, I’d even consider this a nice gift item.
