I bought this for my son so he can draw his D&D characters and other DM stuff in it. The size it perfect, not too big and no too small and it fits nicely in his bag when he meets up with his friends. The real leather cover adds a nice touch with it's smell and feel and the deckle paper makes it look "old" and rustic. The pages are thick enough that his drawings and paintings didn't bleed through. My son was surprised on how it looked. The "stone" on the front looks magical the latch is nice, he said if the latch would be better if it closed from the top, rather than from the bottom as it doesn't stay latched 100% of the time. All in all my son loved this and he already is looking at other to purchase in the future

Definitely not the amount of pages that were advertised. A few pages were torn but it had a great old look and feel. Clasp could be a little stronger. Still a great buy.

This is a great looking book that has a vintage vibe. Would highly recommend.

I love this but wish I'd bought a bigger book. Good quality and recommended if this size suits you.

Review for the 6x8 inch version of this journal. Keep in mind I am reviewing this journal for what it is, an inexpensive, rustic, leather covered novelty journal, and that I am not expecting fine leatherworking or bookbinding skills at this price point. The point of this review is to relate my experience, verify the accuracy of the description, and note any flaws.Upon opening there was no noticeable odor. The cover smells faintly of leather and the handmade paper has almost no odor of its own, compared to a lot of handmade paper I've handled in the past.The cover is a fairly thin leather with what appears to be a backing of some sort of manmade material. It seems like it could be fake leather but certainly smells like real leather. The cover is clearly embossed with a nice stain. The stain did cover the inset stone but I was able to wipe away the excess with a soft cloth. I also used the soft cloth to buff any excess stain from the leather. There was some excess stain so I would recommend buffing the cover down to avoid it getting on your hand or other surfaces. It wasn't a lot but it was notable and not unexpected.The paper itself is surprisingly nice. It is real handmade paper with an actual deckle edge rather than paper that is cut or torn to look deckled. It's thick paper and appears to have at least some sizing in it because the ink I've tried does not bleed into it. I was concerned that the paper would be too rough to use with a fountain pen (a fine nib Pilot Metropolitan) but the pen works smoothly over the paper with no snagging.That said, and expected from handmade paper, there are some sheets with wrinkles that one would have to write around. The paper feels like it's made from cotton or recycled paper. Some other reviews have referred to it as parchment (a writing material made from animal skins) which is wildly incorrect so please don't buy this journal if you are expecting parchment.The downsides: As of the date of this review the listing describes the journal as having 120 sheets/240 pages. Since I don't think they could have realistically crammed that many pages into this journal I suspect the description is a mistake rather than intentionally misleading. However, the fact is that this journal contains 4 signatures folded into 20 sheets each for a total of 80 sheets or 160 pages.On the journal I received there is a dent in the front cover clearly caused by the hardware of another journal which had been set on top of it. For my purposes the damage is not significant enough for me to be bothered but those looking to give this as a gift might take this into consideration.Overall this is a really wonderful novelty journal and, in spite of the lower page count, is still worth the price paid due to the craftsmanship of the handmade paper as well as the cover. If the seller were to correct the description to keep in line with the actual sheet count of the journal I would be inclined to update my review.

I love this so much, I don't even want to use it! I love that the pages have an authentic feel & smell to them. The hook does come loose more than i'd like. The pages edges are not even, which just adds to the coolness of it.

The media could not be loaded.  Es bonito, pero hay estándares de calidad que deben considerarse , el mio solo vino con 76 paginas y algunas estan mas pequeñas que otras, son detalles estéticos y de funcionalidad, ya que por el tamaño del cuaderno que reduzcan algunas páginas de manera considerable afecta mucho la cantidad de cosas que uno alcanzaria a escribir, me refiero a que me lo voy a acabar mas rápido, ojala mejoren eso.

No es lo que esperaba. Lo que mas me llamaba la atención era las hojas, su color y subestilo avejentado. Por eso lo compré, pero estas hojas que yrae son blancas y muy perdiladas. Asi ya no mengusta. Ademas si se ve de baja calidad el adorno.

Es la libreta más hermosa! La recomiendo ampliamente! El detalle en su forro es sorprendente! Y sus hojas divinas

Tiene buen aspecto y es muy ligero. El papel me agrada por su resistencia. Lo considero un buen elemento para escritura íntima, ya sea que te encuentres en casa o de viaje.
