TraxxasSteel Wide-Face 1.0 Metric Spur Gear (Mod1) (46T)

Q: I just put this in my maxx and now it has a clicking noise, louder as i give it throttle,... any info on what it could be?

I did the optional 18-46t gearing and it blew out the old 18t pinion and new 46t spur gears in the first battery. You probably did the same as me and smoked the new gearing. They say it is intended for high speed runs only, maybe that’s why?

Q: Fit on traxxas maxx v2?

It fits the V2, but it didn’t last long.

Q: Is this a hardened steel spur gear?

It’s Traxxas monkey metal. About 5 hours of light drive time on it and a bunch of the teeth chopped off. Switched back to the stock plastic gear.
