I used to use this product a decade ago or more, so I decided to try it again. I’m on a budget and need a white girlie tan! 😆 This in-shower lotion was under $10! I’ve always liked the tan I get from Jergen’s gradual self-tanners, both the lotion and this product. I feel like this one is a little quicker to develop compared to the regular lotion.I attached a pic of my leg 3 days apart. I applied “medium to deep” after my bath 2 nights in a row. I noticed a subtle glow the first time, and now I think I’ve achieved the light tan I was going for! I don’t want to look too dark or fake, so now I’ll just maintain it by applying it every 2-3 days.It doesn’t stink nearly as much as others do. It’s a little perfumey, but I like it. I haven’t gotten too many streaks or patches. No color on my clothing or sheets. When I wake up, I smell a faint fake tanner smell, but it washes away. If I can’t shower right away (like when I have to take my son to his bus stop), I just wipe off with wipes and use a smelly lotion…. It works!My tips: Apply it to freshly wet skin, but start with a quarter-size amount. I do my upper body first, use the leftover on my hands to apply to my face, then do my lower half. I avoid going between toes and fingers. On the second night, I also avoided my knees, ankles, and elbows. If you have dry skin, apply a small amount of regular lotion to those areas first (even on damp skin). Scrub any areas that look too saturated to achieve an even tan.Slightly orange in pics, but in person it has a healthy glow and looks richer! Makes me feel more confident in shorts and at the gym. ☀️

There is a learning curve to all self tanners. I have been using them for years due to skin cancer years ago. I use gloves and put on skin in a circular motion so there will be no streaks. Self tanners may streak if you rub it in a vertical or horizontal manner. Rub, rub, and rub until all the lotion is soaked in. Afterwards, take a dry washcloth and rub knees, backs of knees, ankles, wrists, armpits, and neck while gradually rubbing into the surrounding skin. You don't want the lotion on those areas but you don't want to take off the lotion on the surrounding areas so just do a gradual rubbing. Even with gloves, you will get the lotion on the wrists, so pay close attention to rub off the lotion on the wrists. If you have sunspots, freckles, moles, and other spots on your skin, remember it will also turn those areas darker, which is the reason I do not put it on my face. I usually put on self tanners right before bed and wear old long pajama pants because it may rub off on your clothes or sheets. By the next morning, the tanner will have worked and you can take a shower. You will see brown tanner run off your skin in the shower, but don't worry because the tanner will have already started darkening your skin. It may take some practice, but If you follow these instructions, you should develop a flawless and pretty tan. I usually use the tanner about once a week in order to keep a good tan. Also, you can still get sunburned, so use sunscreen. Now you can have a pretty tan without damaging your skin in the sun.

color is really good and less of a gradual tanner but more of a clear guide color tanner. i’d suggest waiting till your out of the shower and mostly dried off, making sure u aren’t dripping at all bc i ended up with streaks on my legs but a user error bc i was legit still wet. so don’t apply on wet skin but more damp!

My first self tanner experience. I've only applied it twice so far but have had no streaks. The color develops over the next 4-8 hours and looks very natural. I'm latino and have olive skin that usually browns during the summer. I was chasing a hint of that summer glow at the tail end of a long winter. Consider it achieved! Friends who had not seen me for a week did not comment on the change to my complexion after 1 application, which was the desired effect because I'm very embarrassed about using self tanner. But I just feel more like myself with a sunny glow! Was worried about looking orange or having obvious streaks, I needn't have worried. My skin feels nicely moisturized considering I usually only moisturize my face and sometimes hands. Does not dry sticky but does feel a tiny bit oily, will try applying more lightly in the future. Seems like a good quantity for the money. Strongly scented products give me headaches but this has not had that effect, just a slight nose tickle. The scent is not overly strong and is pleasant.

When I ordered this I was so excited to get it. Unfortunately, it did not provide the desired results. So far I’m not getting any color at all. I’m following the directions and using liberally. I’m not expecting a deep dark tan, just a nice hint of color.Love the moisturizing effects, no odor which is awesome! Love the convenience of applying in the shower, stainless application to hands and towel. Going to try the Glow lotion in hopes it provides the desired results.

I’ve only used it once so I can’t comment on color development. However, I’m highly scent sensitive. I bought this based on reviews that the smell isn’t strong. Not only is the smell not strong but it is actually pleasant. A very nice, light smell. From someone that can’t stand smells.
