Bayou Heat is a great series. I've loved every book, every story.Each book contains two short stories. Each telling a little more about the Pantera. Puma shifters who live in a magical, sacred land deep in a Louisiana bayou.LianLian is tasked with hunting down and convincing a professor of ancient languages, to return with him to the Wildlands. Hoping he can help decipher the old scrolls, in hopes of finding a way to rid them of the evil goddess bent on destroying them and their homeland, by using the blood of the first Pantera cub born to them in fifty years. But what Lian is not expecting, is to find the stodgy old professor, is actually a very lovely young woman, who his cat knows instantly his his new mate. Now, the cat just has to convince the male of this. And getting the stubborn female to go along would probably be a good idea as well.RochTo say Roch likes females, would be an understatement. So when his night out ends with him sick and sleeping the night away on the couch, instead of with the chosen female, he's not sure what is going on. All he knows is he has work to do, but he can't seem to shake this bug. But his cat knows what's wrong, and sets him on a path to remedy what ails him.Lydia is having a tough day. She's been fired from her law firm, found out the child she is carrying is not completely human, met a gorgeous man who says he's not human, and escaped an armed gunman in her apartment. Now she is in a strange, beautiful land, surrounded by puma shifters and their human mates being treated like a queen because of the miracle child she is carrying. If only she knew which of the males was the father of her child. The only one she wants is Roch, but he won't claim her as his own. He won't take her away from the male who is the father if her cub.This is a series that must be read in order. Each story is like one long chapter of an even longer book. You really need to read them from the beginning to get the complete story. It's worth it. They are quick reads, well written and very sexy.

LianHmmm…Lian is delicious and Sage is one lucky woman.Book 9 starts almost immediately where 8 ended…Lian is sent to retrieve Dr. Parker to bring her back to the Wildlands in order to read the scrolls the Pantera found that is written in an ancient language. Going into this mission Lian was under the assumption that Dr. Parker was an older man…when he comes face to face with Sage who is a 33 year old woman his cat instantly wants her.Sage has always been a little different and has such stayed a recluse because of it. When she comes face to face with Lian her body comes alive and she doesn’t know how to handle it.There seems to be not only old but new dangers in store for the Pantera as Lian is trying to get them back to the Wildlands and to safety.This was a great story and I really love this dual series with Alexandra Ivy and Laura Wright…we get two writing styles and one amazing story.RochLaura Wright does an amazing job at writing headstrong males…Roch is not only headstrong but completely clueless to what is going on with his emotions not to mention why he is suddenly sick (which I have my theories…let’s see if I am right).And the plot thickens…Again with the cliffhangers (well not really a cliffhanger but it just ends)…So we have a brand new enemy on our doorstep, and my theories about the cub were right…I called who the father is. Back to this new enemy…things look to be getting to an extreme high with this new threat…Hiss is still being held prisoner and I’m not to sure what will happen with him but I am looking forward to finding out.I can’t wait until the next installment of this series comes out, I really love this series as a whole and I love that these two authors write so seamlessly with one another.This is another great book and I highly recommend this series...if you haven't read it then you should because it's an amazing series.

The authors’ combined efforts and ability to write a series together is heightened by their similar styles that compliment one another’s storylines.BAYOU HEAT is a paranormal romance series where the Pantera male will discover that there is someone for everyone but not necessarily of the Pantera world. There is an insta-love quality to the series as each Pantera finds the mate of his heart and knows she is his forever. Ivy and Wright have penned a seductive series about heartbreak, betrayal, alienation and love. There is a little bit of everything in the Bayou Heat series and just enough steamy sex to keep you turning the pages.

parts 9 and ten introduce new characters along with a few old ones. Shapki' s story line is closed in book 9 but it didn't feel right. it was such a nice ending, if that makes sense. after all the trouble she caused, I was expecting her to go out with a bang, instead it was a poof!book ten introduces a new threat, although that threat isn't very well explained, except that they want DNA off the Pantera.and they seem to be getting shorter. maybe it just me, I dunno. it was better than 7 and 8 but not as good as the early ones.

Lightweight and entertaining stories that are easy reading escapism. These are not tales you get dragged into and can't put down, the stories are too light hearted for that, but there is something special about the series and I will download more.

These two stories continue the series very well and the story follows nicely through them all, I have enjoyed the whole series so far and will continue to read the rest.
