perfect watch
The watch has a beautifully designed dial, and the strap is soft, made from genuine leather. The watch itself is very lightweight and uses a Chinese movement. I am unsure of its accuracy, so I’ll have to wait and see. The delivery took place within the expected timeframe, but the packaging was not as good as it should have been. There was no protective padding, and it was shipped across continents in just a plastic bag. I would rate the product 5 stars, but the shipping only 3 stars.

stopped working after 5 weeks
I really like this watch. Wore it everyday for the time it worked, about 5 weeks. One day is started producing very hard clicks when winding. I let the watch completely run out of reserve over a day or so. The clicking didn't go away as I wound it. After about three days of this, the crown seemed to come loose. It turns smoothly now but no longer winds the watch. I contacted Timex to see if I could get it repaired. They sent me an email that their support department would contact me and that was the last I've heard from them. I tried to contact them again, but no response. The watch is good looking and comfortable, but doesn't tell time. All that said, I can't recommend buying this watch. it is shame.

Works like a charm!
I have been looking for a mechanical watch for sometime now. This watch fits the bill perfectly. It is very well-made and is very nice to look at. I will definitely be buying more of Timex’s mechanical watches in the future! I will say be sure to check it for accuracy after a week or so. It tends to be on the slow side. Other than that, it is a perfect gift! Beautiful thing is no batteries are required! I got tired of replacing watches because there was nobody that would replace the battery for me. Again, I would highly suggest this watch!

Great field watch with a few quirks
Thumbs up:- Incredible value for under $100 in 2024- Beautiful, easy-to-read dial (during the day)- Keeps great time (mine is +3s/day)- Fits really well on my 6.5" wrist ; great lug-to-lug and very thin due to the mechanical movement instead of automatic- High-quality strapUnsure:- Hands are a little short. A matter of personal preference; I don't really mind.- Based on internet material and other reviews, this supposedly has a Chinese Seagull movement, but the stickers on the back of mine indicated that the movement was made in Japan while the strap was made in China. I haven't yet cracked it open so I'm not sure what movement is actually inside.Thumbs down (also mentioned in other reviews, so these do seem like common issues)- The lume is quite bad- Hacking is inconsistent - the second hand doesn't always stop when the crown is pulled out. Adjusting the minute hand usually causes the second hand to stop, though.- The minute hand sometimes jumps by multiple minutes when the crown is pushed in. Haven't figured out what triggers this but it seems related to either pushing in with too much force or setting the time after experiencing the hacking issue above.

Great little field watch
Love the mechanical movement. Keeps time great, within a few seconds a day. Need to wind it daily; not sure yet how long it lasts. Decent strap—looks good and is comfortable. Fits my 7.75 inch wrist just fine.

Good watch, kind of pricey for what it is
The world of auto and mechanical watches is new to me. But after doing research about how they tick and who makes them, this watch is overpriced for a China made movement. Thankfully I got it from Amazon warehouse for much less than retail. It keeps good time, I like how I have to wind it every day, the color is fantastic, and I think its a classy look. I use it for work so I don't mind beating it up while wearing it(main reason why I got it). I feel like the movement is a little loose when setting the time and if you're not careful when you push the crown back in, it jumps forward 1 minute. That is kind of annoying, but if you just back off the crown it won't do that. The real annoying part is the lume is subpar. It won't hold a light charge for very long, even from my 600 lumen flashlight. The lume is very weak. Considering everything I mentioned, I still like it. I will keep using it for work and going out if I don't feel like wearing my seiko. I might even send it in for service when the time comes. *update* I really do like this watch. :)

Beautiful and Accurate
The watch is perfect. I wanted a new manual wind watch and the Timex 38 mm Expedition North Field Post Mechanical Eco-Friendly Leather Strap Watch is affordable, accurate and a pleasure to wear.

Garbage
I really wanted to like this watch, dial looks great, case looks great, strap looks great, but don't be fooled. Setting the time is horrible, push the crown in and the time jumps up to 3 minutes and you don't know which way. And the watch only starts ticking sometimes after you push the crown in. I tried setting it and it just never started again.
