Your Balanced Budget (with removable cover band)

I am so happy I purchased this budget book. I didn't know how to follow my spending and I have found this book to be very helpful. It is simple and the layout may not be for everyone but it has definitely helped me understand where I am spending money and do a better job of reducing my expenditure. I recommend it for anyone looking for a change in how they manage their money and not sure where to start!

this is the second year I have bought this budget planner. Love the way it is laid out and has helped me easily keep track of my spending and even save!

This planner is OKAY but I'm sure there are better ones out there. I found some parts of it very helpful and others hindered my budgeting. I don't love how it asks specifically for the dates you get paid and budgets it out like that because I get paid on the last day of the month and budget my next month based on my previous month's money. Small issue, I know.

I think the majority of this book's value comes from the written information inside (goal-setting outlines, types of expenses, economics 101 stuff). I'll keep it as a future reference, even though I could've probably found a similar collection of information somewhere online, but the monthly pages could just as easily be recreated in Excel which I might do after filling in this book. The paper is surprisingly decent. Felt pens barely feather and there's very little ghosting. The plastic cover is flimsy and its bends are stronger than the weight of the paper, so the book doesn't lie flat until I put my hands on it. I'm considering cutting off the plastic where it's attached to the spiral binding and then gluing the front and back covers to a decently stiff board. Don't know why the cover band even exists with the product. Of course you're going to want to remove it, it's not even large enough to go over the whole book to hold it closed (which would've been a nice practical feature, but no, it's just a waste of paper as is). In my opinion, paying a higher price for this would've been a ripoff.

I have been using this budget planner for about a week now and am in love with it. It's perfect. And although I understand the frustration some are saying they are having at not having enough lines to break down their spending in more detail, maybe I can offer some help.Here's what I did for a solution that is working great for me:I am doubling up on the accounting detail by simply adding a slash mark / on lines where expenses are in related categories. For instance, utilities. I put it all on one line by putting the electric bill on top, then adding a /, and putting the water bill amount on bottom. Another example: I put hotel on top/food bought on travel on bottom. This has worked great for me, because I too like to be more detailed in my accounting and being able to keep separate the usual household food bill from food purchased during travel is a bonus.Hope this helps. I absolutely love this planner, and appreciate the instructions in the beginning. It was exactly what I needed to get a grip on our spending.

This book is really simple to use and it is easy to see where everything goes. I bought this budget planner to help me learn finances since my husband takes care of all the bills. Tracking all of our expenses has made me a lot more conscious of my purchases and helped me not be so wasteful. I love using this and seeing where I have been able to save money!

I have used this book for years. Very easy to use and quick to keep track of expenses. Keeping things simple is what this budget book does for me.

Muy práctico y sencillo para llevar un presupuesto. A partir de esto quiero hacerlo en digital, pero ya con más noción de cómo hacerlo. Yo soy muy análoga y me ayuda a veces llevar algo así por escrito, antes de hacerlo en digital.

Great book too keep track of expenses without any unnecessary fuss.

All the other books I've seen on here are too simplified. The only other seemingly good one is the Home Budget Workbook also by the same printing company. This book lets you make your own expense categories, and keep track of your income as well. It has professional appearance, instead of being flowery and cartoony. Obviously what you see in the pictures is what you get, and it is good.What I'd improve: This is only a one year book, when there is easily room for five years.The rest of the book is tips and a few other extras that to me are just fluff.A few more lines for more expenses could be squeezed in.
