Works a described
I was spectacle of purchasing this cap because of the breakage rate, but I gave it a chance. Used this cap to drive a 30’ well and it worked great. I would purchase again.

Use a coupling or legit well driver instead
Stripped all the threads on the pipe and became fused with the pipe to the point where it needs to be sawn off. Will most likely hammer a coupling or the piece of broken pipe instead to drive it down. Need to figure out how to pull the sand point and 5 feet of pipe that is already driven into the ground.

Damages threads
Got this to prevent damage to the pipes on my sand point well while driving it into the ground with a sledgehammer, however it does the opposite. It bent one pipe but I was able to repair it, thinking I just didn't screw it on all the way I continued to use it, however it is now permanently connected to another pipe due to it removing the threads and bending the pipe. It hasn't broken apart but doesn't work as described. Save yourself the time and money and get a different product or just use a throw away coupling.
