Excellent Collar - Perfect fit and very good quality. Dog loves it too!
So I’ve probably not got the best model to show off this fantastic collar, due to recent groom and puppy fluff, but you can still see how bright this collar is even in the daylight under puppy curls! I picked the small size so that there is space for growth and it is very easy to put on and adjust as lights fit through the clasps. It has 3 settings and is easy to turn on and off. My pup seems to like it more than his old collar and seems completely unphased by the lights, even if they are flashing. I’m really pleased with this purchase for the darker evening walks.

Perfect way to find my dog in the dark: Update Limited Life Span
UPDATE: I have had the collar since the 6 September and after just over a month of use every evening only one light is now coming on when the collar is in use. I have recharged the collar but this has made no difference at all. On a black dog one light is not enough at night and I am very disappointed. I will be buying a clip on light for his collar instead.Excellent collar for my black Portuguese Water Dog especially when walking in the dark he is hard to spot. Reasonably easy to alter the size for your dog and quick recharge. We keep the light on constant as we find the flashing light annoying and worry about meeting anyone in the street that might get effected by the strobing. One constant setting would be perfect. We have had the collar 3 days and so far no recharge necessary since the first one.

Best yet
Big improvements on previous lit collars. Unlike previous ones, these come with instructions on how long to charge (2-3 hours initially), how to tell charge is complete (red light turns green), how long charge will last (up to 10 continuous hours) and longer charging cable. Great colours. AND the lights go ALL AROUND THE COLLARS. I ordered one purple and one blue. Very pleased, indeed. My dogs look like walking Christmas trees at night. Love it.

Bright, But Not the 36O° “Halo”
Having a small dog (Yorkshire Terrier) doesn’t go without the disadvantages within poorly lit areas, as they can quickly become lost in plain sight. But, as the UK early dark autumn evenings have now arrived, this can soon happen. I take my little one to a large open field area, but he tends to dash in all directions to play, sniff or do his business. Without success, I’ve used the rechargeable cut to fit models before, but they generally don’t last well in terms of build quality and battery performance. So I scoured here on Amazon for a higher quality collar and came across this particular listing with 10k+ reviews and ranked 4/5.Pro:______* Effortlessly adjusted and operated with one button, hold down the button for 2/secs to turn on (steady glow as the default), click once to cycle through the other options and finally turn off.* Bright (far better than those plastic cut to fit) and X3 settings to configure, I find the strobe option too intense, so I tend to avoid this option. The steady glow is probably most suited for most. And for that bit more visibility, the slow flashing mode. The fast strobe seems unnecessary.* Arrives partially charged; I found charging with the supplied USB cable to charge entirely took just under an hour. Though I expect it shall be much longer when the battery drops beyond the initial arrival charge. The unit has a red light located on the battery pack to indicate when charging, and when the charging is complete, this light turns off.Med______* I wish it was possible to turn the collar off with the same button as the user held down to turn on, avoiding going through the other light selections as one, in particular, is far too harsh for my eyes, as mentioned above in the “Pro” section. Doing so would make it far more user friendly and practical.* Although the build and overall quality are good in terms of materials and stitching, I am concerned about the longevity of the collar. Many negative reviews state it ceased to work within a few weeks of use or failed after charging. At just under £20 at the time of this review, it’s not going to be cheap to keep replacing constantly. So far, mine is holding up fine. But I shall update this review if there comes a time in the coming weeks if I encounter this fault.* Potentially asking for too much, but it'd have been nice if the charging indicator showed red when low on battery rather than having to estimate when it requires topping up.Con:______* If your dog is walking towards you off-lead (which I usually do in a large area of open field), it’s almost impossible to see the lights as the battery pack pulls down towards the chest, this making the lights be seated behind the head and blocked by the ears out of view regardless of how bright the lights are. I have it set to the lowest possible adjustment though it still falls. My dogs neck measures around 11.5”. I’m not sure if I had chosen the X-Small this would enhance the overall fit to avoid this. When the lead is attached, this keeps the lights downwards facing and battery back In position, and it does look good. When off it flops upwards.* The size small has six lights; I find this lacking, as the fork clasp and battery pack take up at least half of the length of the collar; if these were taken fully to the edges, it would allow additional lights, at least another one on each side, making the viewing angles more effective. However, the larger option product images show the collar lightening up at 360°, being the sole reason I ordered to expect the same effect. Unfortunately, for the small, it’s around 180°. I have found, at times, one side only becomes illuminated due to the angle the battery pack pulls with 2 lights on one side, and 4 on the other. Not “bulbs surround nearly the entire length collar”, as the product description states as I had thought.Conclusion:______Overall would I recommend this collar over others? In terms of brightness, it's one of the brightest I have used. They are seen from the back and side of the head for a reasonable distance. Looking at the most helpful review posted in 2018 and its images, it seems outdated, and the design has altered since. This review made me purchase this, and in the small size also, it showed the entire neck area fully illuminated. Unfortunately, this doesn’t seem to be the case now.The material. So far, it seems to be made well. The fork clasp stays firmly in place but is easily up-clipped after use. I have used it in the drizzle with no adverse effects. The rubber to enclose the charging port can be a little tricky to open. The charge seems to be lasting, I have used it x2 30 minute daily walks over the week, and it’s still going. Now, fit. I feel it's more of a “design flaw” between the number of lights, the weight of the battery back pulling the lights behind the head regardless of how snug but still comfortable the fit is. It still works well in certain situations, such as walking side by side and walking behind. Front-facing, it is unfortunately ineffective if the lights aren’t facing downwards towards the chest; this would help not only improve all viewing angles but also illuminate the ground regardless of the dog positioning, particularly when off lead. It’s a shame as if the lights had gone all the way around, giving a “halo” effect as it can look rather odd with only half the neck lit, then it would be a game-changer. I will continue to use it purely as it wasn’t cheap, but it also works well in different scenarios. Just not particularly well off-lead, which it was the intended use.

Brilliant Product
I have a very active 32Kg Labrador who goes walking with similar sized dogs so when they play fight the collar gets a lot of chewing.I have been through cheaper and more expensive light collars but they last a couple of weeks a month at the most, so far this one has managed 3 nearly 4 months but is showing signs of this hard abuse.I Like the strength and workmanship of the collar it is excellent and for a 'normal' dog would last a lifetime.I Like the strength of the light it is visible for well over 1 km. And there is 3 modes for light which is excellent.I like the battery it will last for over 10 hours before it needs charging (but by then it's flat and needs a full charge) Charging is easy using the USB lead onto your computer the charge indicator light shows red when charging and green when charged.I do not like the slide cover for the mini USB charger on the control box but I have found out that this has been modified by the maker to a rubber stopper.Personally I use a small piece of Gorilla tape to cover the charging opening to waterproof it.Also occasionally when my dog is having a real good neck scratch he can turn the light on or off by hitting the on/off button. But again the maker has altered this button so it need to be held in for 2 seconds to operateAll in all an excellent product and the lifetime guarantee will give you real peace of mind it even covers when the unit has been abused like the one I have so really it's a win - win I would recommend this collar to anybody.Steve CrossYorkshire
