Unusual, very attractive multi-use bowl
There's nothing we dislike about these bowls -- perfect for cereal, salad and pasta. Not to mention generous desserts! The balance and weight are excellent. Plus, they're simple & good-looking. Plus, in 5 or 6 years we haven't broken one, amazing.

Even prettier in person
The Sophie Conran series looks sort of translucent, but they are durable. I had two of the lasagna baking dishes (one white and one celadon), which I love and use for lots of baking and serving purposes, so when I saw these bowls I knew they would be lovely. They are slightly oblong, which gives them a thrown pot feel, but they are thinner than most thrown pots. They are big enough to use for serving side dishes, and appropriate for single servings, including cereal, soup, stews, whatever.

Beautiful bowl, soft blue coloring with an unusual pleasing shape. I bought this set for serving fruit or petite salads or snacks.

Beautiful lines
I love these dishes for dinner parties. Food looks amazing on white dishes but most of them are so dull and boring. These have a fluidity of line that makes them look so interesting and lovely on the table even when empty.
