Great compact nice to look at inverter
Did a lot of research on these. Decided on this one as it can provide power to a fair range of appliances, which we use on the motorhome. As an example 1200W hair dryer (on half heat) 700W remoska oven for an hour, 170W slow cooker, electric bike charger, lap top etc etc. This is used in conjunction with a 150W solar panel and a 90Ahr Varta Leisure battery. You can keep an eye on the display and it will show the power that you are using and the battery current available. Be careful not to take to much out of the battery, using heating elements! The unit also has two USB sockets which are great for device charging ( phones, Garmin gps etc)The two 240v plug sockets are to close together. It only really needs one but no big deal. The display could be bigger then! When running the cooling fan makes a little noise but thats fine and it keeps the unit well cooled. The cables it comes with are to short. I had to make my own (I used bigger diameter welding flex cable, for better current and heat considerations) as I have clipped them onto the Leisure battery terminals and can now position the inverter on the seat inside the vehicle.I also wanted a pure sin wave inverter as it will (I hope) work with all electrical equipment well.So far so good. I have "road" tested it and for the range of equipment we need power for, it does what it says on the tin. It is a nice, compact, good looking practical piece of kit to have on any van.If they got rid of one 240v sockets, provided slightly larger, longer power cables and made the display a little bigger they would have a 10 out of 10!!I would recommend you give this unit high consideration.

Compact and does the job
Very impressed so far. Only a week in but using it most days. Compact, lightweight and seems to handle my little 750watt heater and laptop without issue. Make sure you have at least 4awg cable (don't use what is supplied) and a descent charged battery (mine is a Sealed Lead Acid 100amps). I did quite a lot of research and didn't wan't a cheap Chinese eBay converter so opted for this over Renogy 1000w as that was bigger in size. The fan of this unit is always on and speeds up when you plug a power hungry device in, other than that it's pretty good so far. Time will tell...

Well made.
Likes:Build quality.2 x 3 pin mains outlets.2 x USB outlets.LCD showing battery voltage & Mains output voltage and wattage of attached equipment. On / Off Button on the front for easy access.Dislikes:I would have liked a separate lead which could be plugged into the car accessory socket in the boot for running lower power items up to 120w so I didn't have to extend the crock clips to connect it to the battery under the bonnet. It looks like I will have to make up my own lead for this.Price is a bit high.I would recommend this item to anyone looking for a well made unit that does the job it was made for.

Good for running an OLED TV and desktop computer from a solar battery bank
Many of the claims made by the write-up for this inverter to charge batteries and running a laptop I have done with a cheapo car inverter with a 12v cigarette plug and socket wired up to batteries.I bought a pure sine wave inverter to run my desktop computer and an OLED TV from a solar battery bank and it does that brilliantly with no difference in usability, if anything the TV looks slightly better. However, the stereo sounds a lot worse! The reason being is that I have a homemade device to clean up electrical noise which improves sound, batteries are cleaner still and you get greater clarity at the expense of the magical musicality and it sounds lifeless. It will also run the microwave during a power cut.I like the two USB ports that will charge up anything without the need to turn it on. I also like the display showing watts used and volts going in to give an idea of the remaining charge in the batteries. I also like the battery clamps for quick connection to the batteries. What I do not like is that the two sockets are too close together to be able to use both at the same time, but presumably if one breaks you have a spare! Remote control would make life easier but they are more expensive. Despite these limitations, it works well and is good value for the price.

Nice device but not sure limitation or faulty
Purchased this inverter to power an outdoor pond water pump. Build quality seem very decent. However, not sure if this is the nature of inverter or faulty unit. While running the water pump, according the plug in power meter, the pump consumes about 25W of power, which is within the spec of the pump. However, the inverter's LCD says 63W. I was expected some loss from the inverter, but not 63W-25W=38W loss on 25W load! I'm not sure if this is expected or I simply have a faulty unit. Checked the pump and plug in power meter on normal main which of course is fine, hence I turn my doubt on the inverter.
