These save a lot of money and they really do work very well- I remember it takes a couple of times to get the refill process down, but the box of litter refill bags also comes with a heavy cardboard directions w/ pictures of the steps- also we use those small plastic zip ties instead of knotting the bags - all worth it, quick, easy, less expensive, and best of all, no escaping smells except for of course when ya go to change out with a new bag. Good product!

I was hesitant to buy this after reading the reviews that complained about the odor and thickness. I decided to finally purchase these because I was tired of going through one of the Litter Genie ones in a much quicker time frame than it said I would.First off, I really like that these are thinner than the name brand. After the first few uses of the Litter Genie one, I noticed that the clumps of litter and poop started getting stuck so the part that closes (to stop the odor from coming out) couldn’t close. So then I was constantly opening the container after every use, to pull the bag down to make room. It was SO ANNOYING!I figured all generic brands would be the same, but this one is quite the opposite! For one ring, I might have to open the container a couple times to make room NOT constantly like the Litter Genie brand.Also, the odor isn’t an issue. Maybe it’s because I use the Febreze or Gain litter. I will say that there is definitely an odor when you remove the bag to throw it out, but that’s how it is with all bags that need to be thrown out.This really is a great product! I highly recommend it!

This product is way cheaper and honestly more environmental friendly (less plastic per refill) compared to the name brand cartridge. BUT - the material is definitely thinner, this causes issues with odor control and durability. When pull on the plastic sheet to “make” a new bag, it snags and rips easily, so I often have to very carefully pull out more plastic to make sure the knot goes in after any holes - compounded with the odor control issue, one refill doesn’t last as long as a cartridge refill.

It took alittle will to attach the new reusable lid if I'm being honest. It's not the most simple thing to put on but it also wasn't difficult. It's like trying to open a jar but you need to tap on it to loosen the seal.The bags seem more thick to me compared to the OEM bags but that could just be me coming up with reasons to never used it again. All in all I would say this is a purr-fect buy. (Sorry, I had to make the pun). It saves you alot of money when you compare to the brand specific ones. Can't complain.

Update: I dropped a couple of stars as the smell of the bags in my garage with the summer heat got worse with each passing day.I read all of the reviews and purchased them because the majority were positive. After all, how could that many people be wrong?Wow, these bags are thin! Perhaps the litter I use is a bit grainier then others but I doubt it. I find I have to be careful not to overload the Litter Genie as the granuals start to protrude if pressed too hard against the bag. This means that I'm going to have to empty the Litter Genie more frequently and therefore, use more bags. That defeats the purpose of trying to save money.As for the smell...the Litter Genie does a good job of keeping the smell contained until the bag is removed. Oh my goodness, the smell permeating the bag is so strong, I thought perhaps I had torn the bag. I don't have a trash pickup service and I absolutely do not look forward to transporting the bags of waste in my car when taking them to the dump.I don't have the original box as it had something sticky all over it when it arrived....but I'll still see about returning these and I'll go back to the off brand replacements that I've been using which are no longer available here on Amazon.

I love my litter genie so much, I purchased two of them and with four household cats, we definitely go through the litter refill cartridges! We used to use the Litter Genie brand cartridges and it was costing a pretty penny to keep them on hand. After trying this off-brand refill cartridge system, I am sold and have already purchased my second box of them. Sure is a money-saver and it requires little effort to refill the cartridges with super strong refills. Highly recommend them.

These bags worked perfectly in my Litter Genie, and I was delighted to save money on refills. That is, until I realized that my nose kept twitching. It wasn't difficult to figure out why. Those bags were not controlling the odor. The Litter Genie helped a lot, so I figured I'd light some incense and see if I could live with it. When the bag was full and tied up it was put it in the bag of general garbage and taken to the outside bin, which has a lid. I could still smell it, and it got worse as the day heated up. I was trying to put in a flowerbed not far from the garbage bin, but the stench was so bad that I had to go work somewhere else. Summer is over, so there won't be any fresh mountain air drifting through open windows. Time to order some Litter Genie brand bags!
