Malgudi Days by R. K. Narayan - Paperback

I am giving 3 stars for the condition of the book and not for the content. For the content, 6 stars out of 5. R.K.Narayan needs no introduction and his stories are world famous. I have been a big fan of his work since childhood so wanted to buy the whole malgudi stories. Since there as are two books on Amazon on malgudi .viz. Malguid days and Malgudi adventures. I was confused which one to buy and there no pics or reviews to help regarding it. So here i am writing just to help regarding that if someone else has the same doubt. I am attaching the book cover and their table of contents pic to help with your decision.Now about the condition of the book, the book i received had some dirt mark on the cover and had a line drawn from marker on it. I could have replaced but the book mostly remains out of stock so didn't help much. Have a good look when you get yours.

This book is really awesome moreover the Indian English. The binding and paper quality is really awesome, Amazon done a great job on delivery and packaging.It was a quick delivery.......I read the book the stories are so nice that after reading I want to read it again from first.One of the best book in market.The price is also too low for such a priceless book. Thanks Amazon.According to me buying some books having high price better try this one low price,but great stories..............take this priceless book for a low priceand also buy Swami and his Friends..You will have the complete Malgudi Set.........Fully satisfied

Readers cannot agree more.While some people used to write stories ahead of their time, some author's works were immersed in the memories of the past; "R K Narayan" was seen living completely to the present.On one hand, we have seen 'Kamakshi' playing with 'Thanappa' growing up in the house of 'Ramanujam'. On the other hand, the astrologer was seen winning the trust of people only on the basis of his experiences, even without real knowledge. You will find many more such characters in this book, which seem to match our real life.I am eager to read this book and live this journey once again 😊

I picked this up thinking it to be much like the TV version. It is not.Firstly, the level of language is good. Elite level good. or, at the very least, isn't the basic level.The short stories compiled here are truly independent and are roughly 5-7 pages each.BUT they are utterly gut-wrenchingly boring. I am sorry to say this, but it is a pain to keep up with the short story that almost always leads to a very dry end. There is a want for a wow-factor.I have picked this book twice, with a will to finish it up but kept it away because it just did not give me any joy,

its very good read 1st i 2 thought by looking d cover an ok book but when i started reading few stories i immediately fell in love with this book n couldn't just stop reading it even when i am busy doing other works i remember 2 read this book again such a nice book ... really v should not judge a book by its cover .... Narayan is an pure enchanter thanku so much
